Drew and I are so excited to welcome your dog into our home! We've been petsitting for friends and family for the past three years, and enjoying meeting new pets. We just bought a home in south Austin just off William Cannon, and have a spacious backyard. Our hound mix Jasper is very extroverted, and loves meeting new dogs. In terms of pet experience, I grew up with multiple animals including dogs, cats, hamsters, chickens, and sheep. Drew didn't have as many pets growing up, but is making up for lost time! He's never met an animal that didn't like him :) We've had experience caring for both elderly dogs, and high energy dogs.

Lydia and her dog Jasper are wonderful! I can tell my dog loves her because she leans on her for pets before leaving. My dog comes home popped from playing fetch all day. Overall great experience!
It was so nice to have Lydia drop in on the boys for us during a busy week. They appreciated their potty breaks & snacks.
Lydia was really great with our senior boys while we were out of the country. She even went above and beyond by taking my 100lb (big baby) German Shepherd to the vet after she noticed a nose bleed. Will definitely book with Lydia again and can not recommend her enough :)
Our pup had the best time with Lydia! She picked her up from day care, took her home, played with her and fed her. We got regular updates and some great photos! Will definitely book with Lydia again
Lydia was so fantastic with our two mini poodles while we were on vacation for a week. It was great that we were able to meet Lydia and her dog Jasper ahead of time at their house, and that we could see how relaxed Jasper was with our pets in his domain, and that when we dropped them off a few days later it was to a home they'd visited before. She texted every day with updates and pictures of our pups. We were confident that medication, walks, and feeding were all under control, and most important, we knew they were with someone who truly cares.
Lydia took care of my two Labrador retrievers (6YO, <1YO) on short notice and she was wonderful! She took care of feeding, playing, exercise, and cleaning up. Lydia was an excellent communicator and I wouldn’t hesitate to have her care for my dogs again.

Schedule
Both Drew and I work from home, so your pet will have a human available 24-7. Our daily dog routine includes a morning walk, backyard fetch time, a lunch walk, and an evening walk.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will be included in whatever we do with Jasper! In addition to the daily routine noted above, we also take Jasper to a neighborhood off leash park 3-4 times a week to make sure he gets all his sniffs in. On the weekends, we may hit up a local watering hole like Barkin creek, and drive through pup cups are definitely included.

A typical day
Our neighborhood is extremely dog friendly and walkable, with a nature preserve directly behind our home. We also live close to several parks including Dick Nichols and Longview.
