Information Lydia N. would like to know about your pet

Please keep me informed of any special needs your pet has. I'm experienced with medications. If they have any quirks that you feel are also important for me to know, please also keep me informed. I typically request Meet & Greets with clients to go through daily routines and meet you and your pets.

A typical day

I love to train dogs with new tricks! This may be difficult if it's a short stay, but I like to keep dogs interested and stimulated so they don't get bored. There are plenty of parks to go on walks in the area as well. There are beaches nearby if your dog likes water. The activities are plentiful.

Pet care experience

Please note: Your dog must get along with other dogs if staying with me or if I'm staying at your place as my dog Winnie is with me always. She gets along very well with other dogs and cats. I have over 25 years in caring for pets on my own - mostly dogs, cats, and birds. I have owned animals my entire life, however. I have rescued, fostered, and placed dogs as well. I do work Mon-Fri but I work remotely most of the time. After work (and sometimes during), walks and play time will absolutely happen, and on the weekends it is endless really! I am fine taking dogs in my car to trails or parks as long as you are okay with that. I have experience administering medications and injections. I have experience working with dogs that are timid with new people. I will work at their pace to make them more comfortable. I do not have any restrictions for boarding except for females that are not spayed - if they are in heat or may go in heat during their stay with me, I request you get the cloth doggy diaper with pads. Other than that, I love them all and would be happy to take them off your hands for awhile or on overnights and let them have some fun!

Lydia was phenomenal. Our dogs were happy when we got home, our house was as I left it. Couldn’t even tell she had been there. She gave me the perfect number of updates so I didn’t worry. She will be the first person I ask the next time I go away. Such a relief to find someone to take care of my 2 Great Pyrenees. One is 7 and 1 is a puppy. My older needs daily medications and Lydia was great about it. I can’t say enough good things. I do put a lot of weight in reviews of people leave especially someone staying in my home. It would seem to me that the one bad review was probably an unreasonable client. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lydia was an excellent and responsible house+dog sitter for our high-energy Border Collie while we were gone for a week. She stayed in communication, and her dog played well with ours. I highly recommend Lydia.

Best of the best! Takes great care of our dog, and even leaves the house neater than we left it (not hard)! Lydia is definitely our go-to when we're going to be away without Dewey. Can't recommend her high enough.

Lydia was a fantastic sitter with our dog, Dewey. She did everything we asked, and has such a warm and comforting demeanor around pets. She knows what she’s doing and is great at this!
