Safety, trust & environment

I provide pet care exclusively in clients’ homes. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs your pet may have. I prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency, making sure your pet feels secure and happy while you’re away. I also monitor their behavior and well-being, and will update you with notes or photos so you always know how they’re doing.

Information Lydia G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, medical conditions, or allergies, as well as any resource guarding or reactivity (towards other dogs, people, food, etc.). It’s also helpful to know what activities, routines, or treats your dog enjoys so I can keep things consistent and comfortable for them. For walks, please let me know what equipment you use (harness or collar) and whether you typically use a retractable or standard leash. I personally prefer using a standard leash, as I find it safer and easier to manage during walks, and I’m happy to bring one if needed.

A typical day

I love keeping dogs both physically and mentally engaged! Depending on their energy level and personality, I offer walks, playtime, and enrichment activities like basic training games or treat-based puzzles. I also make sure to include calm time and gentle interaction for dogs who prefer a more relaxed environment. With my Fear Free training, I always focus on making activities positive, low-stress, and tailored to each dog so they feel safe, happy, and comfortable.

Pet care experience

I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, including owning 5 of my own. I’ve also worked in two doggy daycares, where I gained experience supervising play and managing different temperaments. I’m Fear Free certified, so I’m able to recognize and respond to signs of fear, anxiety, and stress. I’m most comfortable with small to medium dogs.

Lydia has always loved animals and they have always been drawn to her. She currently has 5 small dogs of her own and has taken great care and pride in raising them. She has much experience caring for pets in many ways. She has aided a dog with the birth of 2 litters, helped a dog with epilepsy; by giving meds and helping keep them calm and trained her own pets, to list a few. She has completed some training at SLC in the Vet tec program, done a co-op at Whoz-a-good Dog and has experience working at Happy Paws Doggy Daycare. She is a hard working, caring individual that will love and care for your pet as if it was her own. Her quiet, kind hearted, gentle nature makes her the perfect person to care you for your pet.
