Outdoorsy Student Who Loves to Play

We had a sweet, older dog when I was young, but in all my family has always been "cat people". So when I got older and had my own pets, I always ended up with cats. It wasn't until my mid-twenties, when I met many amazing dogs, that my love for dogs really blossomed and I began to want one of my own. I've been fortunate to live with and help care for a few of those great dogs over the past several years, but then six years ago I moved to LA. I'm so far away from all my favorite dogs. But luckily there are a ton of little cuties all over this city! I have been considering dog-walking or sitting since I moved here, and hearing such great things about Rover has finally made me go for it. I love to walk and hike and have always wanted to have a furry friend to enjoy the outdoors with. But if your dog is more of a snuggle-up-and-watch-a-movie kind of dog, I'm definitely qualified for that too! I have most experience with medium to small dogs, but I also LOVE pit bulls, shepherds and retrievers. Really, I love all animals, big and small. I just don't have any experience with giant dogs. I do work full-time, so dog-sitting is just an occasional way for me to meet new doggies (and their humans) and make some extra money on the side. I also am in school, and do some volunteer work. I stay busy, but I also love to relax at home and am more than happy to spend that time relaxing with your babies!

Lydia was so very professional and caring with my cats. My cats can be very messy, skittish and mean; Lydia sent super cute/cuddly pics with her&cats. And goodness knows what Lydia cleaned while my family was away. We came back to very happy cats. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Lydia was a wonderful house, chicken, and cat sitter! One of our cats is really finicky about people staying over and this cat absolutely loved Lydia. Lydia was great about sending us photos everyday while we were away and left the house spotless! We would defintely recommend and book her again.

Lydia was fantastic with all our critters and we will happily book her again! She had left a positive impression on us when we first met her a year ago, so we were happy to finally have this opportunity to hire her for a 12 day house stay this past June. We are always anxious about leaving our furry children with anyone, but she bonded quickly with our 2 dogs/2 cats, and we left the country feeling very reassured that they, and our home, were in good hands. Lydia sent us many pics of the critters while we were away and even surprised us with some of our elusive ''scaredy cat" Milo hanging out. This is a cat who hides for days when anyone new comes to visit. Lydia won him over within 24 hours, which is unheard of, and which I attribute entirely to her wonderful, calm & positive energy. We came home to a peaceful happy brood which is all we could ever hope for. Thank you Lydia!

Lydia is the best! She was very flexible when my plans were a little bit up in the air, and she didn't mind that I was a crazy dog mom with oh-so-many instructions (or at least, she didn't let on that she minded). She took great care of Scout and kept me in the loop with lots of text updates while I was gone. She is so sweet and positive, and she has lots of energy. I would definitely ask her to sit for Scout again. Thank you, Lydia!

Lydia is a very compassionate animal lover. She has watched our dogs numerous times over the years and they have grown such a wonderful bond because of her patience and gentle touch. One of our dogs is a super sweetie and loved her immediately, but our other little one has quite the attitude and is very picky about who she likes and dislikes. After what seemed like no time at all, Lydia had shown her that she was only there to help and had no plans to take over her "kingdom" and now she is one of her favorite visitors to this day. Lydia has the right balance of discipline and fun and is at the very top of my list when I need any level of pet-sitting.
