Pet care is a core part of my daily and weekly routine — not just a job, but a lifestyle I truly love. Each day is planned around the needs of the pets I care for, whether that’s morning walks along the Cornish coast, midday pop-in visits, or evening cuddles for pets staying with me overnight. I build my schedule with plenty of time and flexibility to give every animal my full attention and care. No two days are the same, which is what I enjoy most. From active dogs needing long countryside walks, to older pets who prefer a slower pace and some quiet companionship, I make sure each pet gets the right level of care, stimulation, and love. Weekly, I also spend time checking in with pet owners, updating care plans, and continuing my learning in animal behaviour and first aid. Being fully committed to this work means pets are never an afterthought — they’re at the heart of how I organise my life.

My home is pet-safe, with secure outdoor space, and I only board a small number of animals at once to ensure individual attention and a peaceful atmosphere. I also carry out careful meet-and-greets beforehand to make sure each pet is a good fit for the home environment. In the Pet Owner’s Home: When visiting or staying in a pet’s own home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own. I stick to the owner’s instructions closely, ensuring pets feel safe and relaxed in their familiar surroundings. I always take time to build trust with the animals I care for, using gentle, positive approaches to make each interaction reassuring and enjoyable. In both settings, I’m fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in pet first aid. I keep open communication with pet owners through regular updates, photos, and check-ins — so they feel confident and reassured while they’re away.
