I work a hybrid schedule currently and go into the office 2 to 3 days a week. I generally do not do week long boardings due to my work schedule, however it can sometimes be arranged depending on the week and our work schedules, so please feel free to still request!

I have a fenced-in yard and two dogs, Izzy, a 5 year old Golden Retriever and Pongo, a 4 year old Lab/Weimaraner mix. They are both very sweet and happy pups who are used to sharing their home with dog- guests (whether boarding or fosters). When they were younger they went to daycare 2x a week and are well socialized and good with sharing their toys/beds/treats/etc. Pongo can be weary/protective the first time he meets a new dog and may give a growl or 2, but warms up quickly once he realizes they are friendly! Izzy and Pongo are both on the calmer side, and do best with dogs who will play/wrestle/run with them outside and then relax, lounge, and chew on some Benebones inside with them! Your dog is free to nap and hangout on the couch, dog beds, or our bed.

Dogs must be up to date on their vaccines since I have two dogs of my own. No signs of aggression! (Toy, food, history of aggression, etc) (My dog Pongo often growls at new dogs he meets which we are working on with him, but he has never done anything otherwise to another dog, + history of daycare, going to the dog park, etc. He is just weary with any new dog initial greetings especially in his home/yard. He will play all day/week long with his new friend though after those initial hellos. No dogs with too high of energy, as my dogs are on the calmer side (although when a person or dog gets to our house you wouldn’t believe me, since they get very excited and jumpy!) They love to go on a walk around the block and play in the yard throughout the day, but can just hangout and relax on the couch as well when it’s time to, and would prefer dog-guests with a similar “lifestyle”
A typical day
Playing fetch and running around in the fenced-in yard, walks around the block (sidewalk route) when able to (tougher with 3+ dogs in the house), snuggling on the couch while watching TV. Water always accessible and we have a big basket of benebones/nylabones and squeaky toys out to chew/play with. If I am in office during the week at all, we have a neighbor let the pups out around lunch time to potty and run around a bit, so they are never alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time!

Pet care experience
I have had and cared for dogs for 20+years since I was 10 years old. My husband and I adopted our golden retriever, Izzy in 2021. For 6 years I have been a volunteer and a foster at Forever Home Rescue in Medfield for the dogs that are brought up North weekly to find a home. We have fostered almost 30 dogs in our house & ONLY foster-failed with ONE, Pongo 🐶😊
Reviews

Lydia was great, she watched Tilly for a weekend, and looks like Tilly had a great time!

Lydia was great and I really appreciated all the pictures and videos she sent me. This was my pups first time staying away from home and staying in a home with other dogs but I think she did okay! She slept all the way home when I picked her up!

Thank you Lydia! Sully and Daisy had a wonderful time and are looking forward to visiting again soon!!

Lydia is truly the best! She is super responsive and communicative. She sends photos of the dogs without us having to ask and checks in to give us updates often. We never have to worry when she watches our pups! She was very patient with one of our dogs who took a few visits to remember her/warm up to her and now they’re inseparable! We love Lydia!
