16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs

Availability

I am currently a 100% remote worker. My schedule can be quite accommodating to animal care (travelling to house to visit animal, food, needing to go out, play time, etc.,) I do go for an evening walk every evening, so this is a convenient time to take dogs out for their daily walk and give them extra companionship.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large fenced yard. I also have no other pets in this house, except for a indoor/outdoor cat, that is quite easy to manage (is happy to be contained or moved). Thus, this usually helps some animals who may not get along with other animals.

Information Lydia A. would like to know about your pet

I would prefer not to administer anything injectable. But I am able to follow a pill schedule and give that to the animal, such as with pill pockets, toys, or described method.

A typical day

I do love to walk dogs. And can run/walk with them as much as necessary. I am also accustomed to playing with dogs with rope toys or throwing the frisbee

Pet care experience

I have worked as a kennel technician for 3 years. I worked primarily with boarding cats and dogs by walking, taking out, playing, and medicating. I love walking. I am personally an avid walker, minimum daily goal is 10k steps. I would love to take your dog out and about. It is my goal to always exercise safety, so we stay away from other pets. For this reason I have been hired out many times by family, friends, and coworkers to either house-sit, drop-by, or just walk their dogs. In addition, I was once the owner of a corgi dog who lived to be an old man. I am now currently an owner of an elderly cat. She is a senior cat and is currently living with cancer and recently went through surgery. Thus, I am very confident providing oral medications and care for senior pets. I have also worked 5 years as a cleaner out on Isle of Palms, so if you have any light housework or plant care requests, while I'm at the house, please feel free to ask. I will always leave your home tip top so you can always come back to a relaxing space. I truly love being able to help animals have companionship and activity, while owners are out of town. It's so vital to their happiness and care. I always strive to give the owners upmost peace while away from home. Communication is key and I always want you to feel happy with the care your pet receives.

Lydia is WONDERFUL!! This is the second time we’ve had her watch our babies and I can’t sing her praises high enough. She sends photos and videos every day and you can tell they are soooo happy with her. She is our go-to sitter forever!

Lydia did a wonderful job taking care of my dog and my home. I came home to a happy, calm doggo and will cared for home. Lydia is also highly communicative and sends lots of photos. Reception was bad on my trip, so it was nice to see a bunch of photos of my happy dog every time I got back to cell reception. Highly recommend Lydia!
