I was a stay at home mom until my daughter daughter left for school, but once she did I continued to be a homebody and have filled my time maintaining my garden, as well as the occasional side job. After my dog passed friends and family who knew requested I pet sit for them and it has brought me joy, and Id like to offer my home for animals to spend time with me while owners are away.

Safety, trust & environment
When my daughter lived at home while working at the shelter we cared for all kinds of dogs from puppies to seniors, and personalities such as pups with separation anxiety or extreme shyness. Although there is no dog on my property, the acre next to me does has an indoor outdoor dog, but the fence is secure and there is a catch gate between the properties so that there isn’t a chance of the dogs slipping through.

Information Luz C. would like to know about your pet
My daughter has a paraplegic pup, so I am comfortable around pets with different needed accommodations but like to know ahead of time their needs. I’m not as comfortable with direct oral medication but can handle ensuring its eaten when placed in their meal. I take direction well and can accommodate your dogs needs.
A typical day
I live in an unincorporated area of the Coachella Valley on two acres of property that are fenced off by acre. My home is on a half acre, and I spend my early mornings and afternoons outdoors watering or tending to my plants, and spend my days inside, often with family. I do occasionally jog around the property in the morning and ensure this is done with higher energy dogs when the weather is appropriate.

Pet care experience
Long term pet owner, whose passion for animals grew when my daughter worked at an animal shelter for 8+ years and would regularly foster animals with different needs.
Reviews

Luz was very accommodating and very good with communication. Her property was very lovely and my dog. Bodie was very happy. I could tell with a big smile on his face! The pictures that she sent me during his stay were very thoughtful.

This was our dog’s second stay with Luz. It was clear they loved their 6 day stay. Bee Bee add River looked great when we picked them up…happy and comfortable. Not sure they were ready to go! Luz’s well kept home and safe, spacious property offer a wonderful stay for dogs! She is a kind and warm pet sitter. I highly recommend Luz!

Luz was the most wonderful, sweet and perfect sitter for our Lily. We really lucked out as she took us last minute. Lily enjoyed her stay and we got to see cute pictures of her exploring Luz’s beautiful garden. Thank you Luz without your wonderful care, we wouldn’t have been able to hike Joshua Tree 💗 highly recommend!! 100/10 😊

Great communication and very flexible. Luz was very friendly and our dog loved her. I highly recommend her and will use again.
