Lupita was good. I got frequent updates I did have to ask for them most of the time but all in all she was taken care of. I did bring my dogs food in a container and she let her family use it. Although she said she would bring it to me, why would you let your family use someone else's stuff? I did decline for her to bring it to me because it was plastic-but not old, I did use it often, but it is the principle behind it that was unprofessional.

She took great care of my pup and even sent pictures to update from time to time. Amazing job and my Pup came back home from Lupita’s. Definitely will rebook with her!

I should have paid closer attention to the other negative reviews, because my experience matches them almost exactly. Not long into the stay, Lupita messaged me saying she was having a “meltdown” because my dog chewed one of her shoes (after clearly being locked in a room, unsupervised, with them on the floor). Instead of handling it professionally, she demanded I compensate her personally and said she “could not overlook this.” At the same time, she admitted she would leave my dog alone in the house while she went to a wedding reception. She said (and this is a copy/paste): "Yes, I am able to leave a dog in a house like any other dog owner would. Yes I would be away from my home to attend a wedding reception." That alone is an outrageous breach of trust. I was forced to pick my dog up immediately given her emotionally state, and Lupita refused to modify the booking - instead snidely telling me to take it up with Rover. When I picked my dog up, the food I had provided was untouched. She came home sick, withdrawn, and traumatized. She's had a horrible scratch that won't go away, lowers her head when approached, and has lost her usual confidence. It is heartbreaking — she went in a happy, trusting dog and came back timid. Hard not to draw conclusions. Reading the other reviews now, it’s clear this is a disturbing pattern: dogs left filthy, sick, locked in basements or crates, overcrowded in unsafe spaces, and returning home with vomiting, diarrhea, fear, and trauma. My experience is not unique — it is part of the same long record of unsafe, negligent care. Please take these warnings seriously. Do not leave your dog with this sitter.
