I’ve cared for dogs for over 10 years and currently care for a blind dog, so I’m comfortable with special needs, senior routines, and dogs that require extra attention and patience. I’ve worked with 5 families outside of Rover, providing boarding, walks, and overnight care. I understand how important structure, clear communication, and safety are when someone trusts you with their dog. Whether your dog needs calm supervision, extra reassurance, medication schedules, or high-energy play, I adjust care based on age and temperament.

I live in a secluded 2-acre property in Redmond. There is a farm and Farrell McWhirter Park nearby. There is a good chance your dog will see a horse / other dogs on their walk or run. I’m experienced managing dogs with limited vision and mobility, so I maintain consistent environments, avoid unnecessary changes, and supervise closely outdoors. I do not take on more dogs than I can safely supervise at once.

Luke did a great job. The house was left immaculate and all the animals were well taken care of. I would have preferred better communication. I'm used to daily updates with pictures. I received one picture the entire week and any updates I had to initiate. He didn't stay over two of the seven nights. I would have preferred communication to that effect so I would be aware of this ahead of time as with previous dogs, this would have been a huge issue. Luckily with our current dog, she did ok but it was her first nights alone.

Schedule
Pet care is my full-time focus, so I structure my day around the dogs in my care. Mornings begin with walks or outdoor time, followed by feeding based on your exact schedule. Throughout the day I’m available for mid-day potty breaks, enrichment, and supervision. Dogs are not left alone for long stretches, and I adjust activity levels depending on age, energy, and special needs. I keep my calendar updated and prioritize clear communication and daily photo updates.
