Animals have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had Blitzen, a shepherd-chow-briard mix who was equal parts protective and sweet, and she shaped the way I think about dogs early on. My family now has Kona, a briard who is basically a giant ball of love. Dogs have always been a big part of my everyday and that’s not something I’d ever want to change. Before joining Rover, I spent a year working at a dog daycare where I was hands-on every day, bathing, feeding, playing, supervising group time, and keeping everything clean and running smoothly. The most valuable part of that experience was learning how to read different temperaments quickly, de-escalate tension between dogs, and prevent conflicts before they started. I got comfortable with a wide range of breeds and personalities, from the easy-going to the reactive, and I know how to keep every dog feeling safe. I work from home running my own business, which means I have genuine flexibility throughout the day. Frequent check-ins, walks, and attention aren’t a stretch, they’re just how my day runs. Your dog won’t be sitting around waiting. I’ve also been around cats my whole life and am comfortable with all kinds of personalities. I always let them come to me on their own terms.
