One thing to keep in mind: I don't drive, so all drop-offs and pick-ups take place at my home. I'll work with you to find a time that's convenient, and I'll make sure your pet is ready and waiting when you arrive! I keep a clean, pet friendly space where they can play around the house or relax on the couch with me. Our apartment does not have a private yard but there is plenty of open ground with grass outside for your pet to walk and sniff around. I’m very big on supervised interactions. I have a social dog (Shadow) and a shy cat (Mikael), so I’m used to managing different personalities and making sure everyone feels safe and respected. Your pet will be in my sight throughout the day, and I will stick to whatever feeding or potty schedule you provide to keep things consistent and stress free for your pet. I send photo updates throughout the day so you always know how your pet is doing.

To give your pet the best stay possible, it really helps to know a few things before drop-off! Please share your pet's feeding schedule and how much they eat, their potty routine and any signals they use to let you know they need to go out, any medications or health conditions I should be aware of, how they do around other dogs and cats, anything that makes them anxious or uncomfortable (loud noises, being picked up, strangers, etc.), their favorite toys or comfort items, and any commands or training cues they know. The more I know going in, the smoother the transition will be for your pet. I want them feeling at home as quickly as possible! P.S: Please note that I do not drive, so drop-off and pick-up at my place will need to be arranged by you. I'm happy to coordinate a time that works for your schedule!
A typical day
Every day starts by following the routine you've set for your pet, because consistency is the best way to keep them comfortable and calm in a new environment. From there, we settle into a relaxed day at home together. Your pet will have the run of the living space, get outdoor time on the grassy grounds outside our apartment for walks, sniffing, and potty breaks, and plenty of downtime lounging around the house with me. Since I'm home all day, there's no sitting alone in a crate waiting for someone to come back. I'm here, present, and attentive from morning to night. Shadow loves having a buddy around, and I make sure any interaction between pets is calm and supervised so everyone stays comfortable.

As a pet parent, I know firsthand that life happens and sometimes our pets just can’t come along for the ride. Whether you're heading out on vacation, need to attend a work event, or dealing with a family emergency, I’m here to make things easier. You can go take care of business with the peace of mind that your pets are in good hands. I have plenty of experience with cats and dogs, both my own and for friends and family. Feel free to reach out with any questions! P.S: I work best with small dogs, and I find they tend to thrive in a calm apartment setting like ours.

I’ve seen firsthand how responsible Luisanna is with animals. She watched my senior Shih Tzu, River, for a few days and did a fantastic job. River is older and needs diapers and a feeding routine, and Luisanna handled it all perfectly. She even made sure River had safe playtime in the backyard with her dog, Shadow.
