Safety, trust & environment

I keep your dog stimulated with games and exercise. I am also a big fan of crate training and will encourage your dog to remain in his crate for safety after a good play session.

Information Luis M. would like to know about your pet

* What treats do you feed your dog? - On walks, it is very important to reward the dog when they do something good. Please have your dog's favorite treats available for the walks. * Do you use a harness, regular collar, prong collar, or gentle leader with your dog? Please note that I only use a retractable leash when the dog is small (less than 10 pounds). I find a retractable leash too dangerous for the dog, so I prefer a regular leash for safety. * Does your dog pull you relentlessly when you are walking him? * Which games do you play with your dog?

A typical day

Before starting the walk, I make sure the dog is calm. If the dog bashes out the door, I will turn the dog back as many times as needed until it's 100% relaxed. The general rule is to wait for them to sit or lie down in front of the door, calmly looking outside. Then I go out the door with the dog following behind (the dog never goes out the door first). Following these steps is extremely important to establish discipline and structure during the walks. If your dog is not accustomed to this, it may take some time to become habituated, but I guarantee it is worth the effort. After getting out the door, I walk around with the dog until they find a place to do their business. Then I continue the walk, making sure the dog is not pulling me relentlessly. When that happens, I stop flat, turn the dog back around a few steps, turn around again, and go back to the original path. If the dog is not used to it, almost all the walks will be a back-and-forth exercise that will build discipline in your dog. Eventually, I will be able to walk with your dog by holding the leash with one finger and with little to no pulling. The goal is to teach your dog three basic walking commands: "Stop," "Wait," and "Go." When the walk is over, I go back and either feed the dog or have an indoor playing session with various toys and games (my favorite game is hide-and-seek treats). If you request to feed the dog after the walk, I will avoid playing any physically intensive games to allow the dog to digest the food safely. After that, the dog generally takes a nap or lies down to rest.

Husky Shenanigans Specialist

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Luis! (HABLO ESPAÑOL) I’m a lifelong animal lover with a deep passion for dogs, especially Siberian Huskies! Huskies are intelligent, adventurous, and full of energy — and I know exactly how to keep them active, happy, and safe. Whether you have a high-energy Husky or a laid-back companion, I treat every dog like family — with patience, love, and respect. I have a background as an after-school teacher at a Tae Kwon-Do academy, and I translated that experience into training and walking dogs. My goal is to make sure your dog feels cared for, exercised, and comfortable while you're away. I offer fun, stimulating walks and drop-ins with lots of affection and attention. You’ll also receive photo updates, so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in great hands. FREE BONUS FOR FIRST-TIME CLIENTS 🐾 Option 1: Let your dog enjoy a complimentary play session with my well-trained Siberian Husky, contingent upon a successful meet & greet. This is only if my Husky and your dog are friendly and safe together, as determined by my professional judgment. OR 🐾 Option 2: FREE access to my exclusive course: "How to Train a Siberian Husky Using an E-Collar" (created by me and used by Husky owners worldwide) Thank you for considering me — I look forward to meeting you and your amazing dog! Luis is the ABSOLUTE best. We have two dogs and they are amazing, but when I walk them it can be a circus. One goes this way and the other that way and no one wants to listen. The first time they met Luis, they were comfortable and listened! They clearly respected him as the one in charge. I would only recommend Luis if you need someone to help with your fur family when needed. Just amazing!

My dog isn’t easy to handle, he’s very hyper and barks a lot. Luis showed a lot of patience with my dog and was very passionate, we were gone for four days and Luis kept us updated on everything and provided us with a peace of mind on our vacation. I recommend him to anyone!!

Luis was great. We were in town visiting universal studios and Luis came through to give aspen a walk while we were riding coasters.
