Ratings and reviews
I have known Lucy for 10 years. I first met her when she came to volunteer at our farm sanctuary. I was immediately drawn to her gentleness and kindness to the animals. She had an amazing patience, asking an animal to do something and then allowing him/her time to process and respond. When it came time to train our young cow to wear a halter, Lucy volunteered to do it. She taught the cow hand signals and through a system of positive reinforcement, she acclimated the cow to the halter and was no longer afraid when we walked up to her with a halter in our hands. When we had camp and it was time for the children to learn about cows, Lucy facilitated the session. She called the cows gently and with hand signals taught the children what it’s like to be a cow and how to be around these cows. Her lesson was quite touching and it brought tears to my eyes when I heard her speaking so lovingly towards the cows. Over the last ten years Lucy has stayed involved with us in a variety of capacities. Not only has she worked with all the animals at this farm, but she ran a summer camp for children with challenges and was able to successfully impart to the them the importance of caring for the animals in a kind and calm manner. Lucy has a very big heart and will not only care for the basic needs of an animal, but will genuinely love their spirit and will enrich their environment in any way possible. I would not hesitate to ask Lucy to take care of any of my animals, at the farm or personal. Lucy will be a positive influence in any family.
I first met Lucy over 6 years ago when she became part of my care team at at an animal rescue farm and we have since become good friends. I was immediately drawn to how caring, compassionate and intuitive she was, not only with all the animals but also with the people we worked with at the time. She now works with Autistic children and it is clear how capable she is across various professional environments. Lucy is honest, reliable, trustworthy and delightful to be around. She house sits for us and takes good care of our house, hummingbirds and our dog, Milo (King Charles) loves her. I have great respect for Lucy and I would highly recommend her as a house and pet sitter.

My schedule changes throughout the year- currently open for overnight sittings for between 2-7 day blocks. When I’m back at my regular work schedule I will alter my availability to reflect this (typically unable to provide sitting throughout the day time/week days, but still able for drop in visits and walks in the evenings).
Prices include all fees.
