First time Rover users — use this code or link below to get $20 off your first Rover booking! Code: LUCYT46921 Link: https://www.rover.com/sit/lucyt46921 About Me - Hi, I’m Lucy! I have 3 pups, no kids, I WFH all day, I have a clean well kept house with lots of space and a fenced yard (see photos), and also lots of experience with anxious & senior pups (I have an anxious pup myself)! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over a decade of pet sitting experience—and I’m also a longtime Rover client myself. As a over-caring dog mom of 3, I know exactly how stressful it can feel to leave your pup in someone else’s home and care, and my goal is to make sure you feel confident and at ease while you’re away. Whether you’re gone for the day or on vacation, your dog will be treated like family here. My husband and I are both passionate animal lovers, and we’ve created a dog-proof and dog-friendly home that’s full of affection and daily attention. Our own dogs are friendly and love welcoming new furry friends. We can’t wait to meet your pup and give them a safe, happy, and loving home-away-from-home! Play Time – We have a spacious, open formal area at the front of our home that we designate as the active play zone for pups who love to run around and wrestle. For dogs who prefer a quieter atmosphere or have more separation anxiety, we section off our office and living room as a calm space where they can nap or lounge peacefully closer to me while I work. This setup helps prevent overstimulation and ensures all dogs feel at ease in a space that suits their energy level. Potty Time – I let the dogs out in our fenced backyard every 1–3 hours throughout the day between meetings to potty, sunbathe, or just enjoy a bit of fresh air—weather permitting. Meal Time – All meals are served separately to make sure each dog can eat calmly without any interruptions or food-related stress. Sleep Time – All of the pups who stay with us sleep in our bedroom at night, scattered comfortably in their favorite corner or even on our bed (if there’s space!). If your dog has mobility concerns or is crate-trained, we’ll follow your instructions to make sure they’re as cozy and safe as possible. Alone Time – I rarely leave the house for long, but if I do need to run an errand or step out for a meal with friends, I carefully separate the dogs based on their energy levels and compatibility & have Lofi or classical music on YouTube playing in the background to help them fall asleep and nap. If your dog is crate-trained and you prefer they be crated while I’m away, I’m happy to follow those instructions. I also keep an eye on everyone using indoor cameras that we have in all our living areas to make sure all pups are safe, relaxed, and behaving until I return.

Lucy is awesome! She takes such great care of Mossy, who can be quite a handful. I appreciate all the doggy updates while we are out of town, it always helps ease my mind. Thank you to Lucy’s pups too for being friends with Mossy :)

Our dog had a great time at Lucy's (as always), and Lucy is amazing with sending pictures and updates. We really appreciated the pictures/videos, Lucy's care, and the whole family, including their pups, of course - they all make it easy for our dog to feel comfortable and happy while we are away!

Schedule

I am a remote worker and am home full-time and able to give your pup plenty of love, attention, and supervision throughout the day. I have three dogs of my own—two of them (a Samoyed and a Husky) are especially playful and love having new furry friends to around with. My Samoyed & Husky are the main reason I do Rover—To help keep them entertained! It gives my active pups the chance to socialize & play with your fur baby. They’ll entertain each other while I work nearby, creating a safe, fun, & social environment that keeps everyone happy (and hopefully tired out!). Throughout the day, I let the dogs out in our fenced backyard to potty, sunbathe, or just enjoy the fresh air between my meetings—especially if my schedule isn’t too stacked and the weather’s nice. After work, my husband and I try to take the whole crew out for a walk (weather permitting) for even more exercise and enrichment.

Pets

A typical day

Our day starts around 7 AM. I let the dogs out for their first potty break, then bring them in for breakfast. After eating, they head back outside for a post-meal potty break before I settle into work. From 8 AM to 5 PM, I work and usually in meetings throughout the day. The dogs are free to nap, lounge on furniture, or play throughout the day. We have toys and 4-5 water bowls set up throughout the house so your pup always has access to enrichment and hydration. Miso (Samoyed) and Maui (Husky) are super social and love playing with new friends, while our older dog Matthias usually relaxes in his own space and joins in occasionally. I let the dogs out every 1–3 hours between meetings for potty breaks and fresh air if the weather’s nice. At 5 PM, it’s dinner time for the pups. Around 6–7 PM, my husband and I usually take them all for a walk, depending on the weather. In the evening, the dogs hang out with us. Before bedtime, they go out one last time, then come upstairs to sleep in our room—where they pick their favorite cozy spot (or even join us on the bed if there’s space)! From time to time, we like to host friends who visit us. They’re all dog lovers and often enjoy playing with the pups, too. If we plan a day trip or hike during their stay, we’ll always reach out first to ask for your permission before bringing your dog along for the adventure.

To make sure your pup has the best and safest stay possible, here are a few things I’d love to know ahead of time: - Is your dog reactive or anxious around other dogs? I can accommodate but need to know exactly how to help them feel comfortable. - Do they resource guard (toys, food, space)? - Are they prone to counter surfing? - Do they have any quirky habits or sensitivities I should know about? - Do they have separation anxiety? How severe? - What’s the max number of hours they can be left alone (if we need to step out)? - Do they destructively chew on things when unattended? (e.g., toys, shoes, furniture, walls) - What’s their potty break frequency or limit? - Are they crate trained? Do they sleep in a crate? - Are they allowed upstairs (especially for senior dogs)? - Do they have any allergies? (e.g., chicken, grain, seasonal) - What’s their usual daily routine for meals, potty breaks, and exercise? You know your dog best, so feel free to share any and all details you think would help me care for your fur baby like they’re one of my own. The more I know, the better I can make their stay feel safe and help you feel at ease while away!
