Safety, trust & environment

Make sure I know where my dogs are at all times to be aware of what they're doing. Toilet breaks between 1-4 hours. Keep an eye on any strange behaviour. With reactive dogs, they are kept distant from the front door if someone knocks. Supervised meal times. Staying calm and assertive to maintain control.

Information Lucy S. would like to know about your pet

Their medication, any illnesses like diabetes, allergies, if they're reactive or not, their behaviour around other dogs, any separation anxiety, their meal times, favourite toys and games, training commands and their routine.

A typical day

I like to take dogs on really long walks, let them sniff around to stimulate them physically and mentally. We can play catch, hide & seek, obedience training and other enrichment games.

Pet care experience

Since at young age, I've always had dogs in my life. From yorkshire terriers to deerhounds, I have dealt with different breeds and different sizes. When I was a teenager, I used to look after a number of dogs when I was travelling for dogs show across the country. I currently have two 10 year old dogs from 8 weeks old who have given me the experience to administer medication, analyse behaviour, grooming, dealing with puppies to senior dogs, training and feeding. I have also dealt with many untrained, reactive dogs too so I have an understanding what they're like on walks, around other dogs and people.

Lucy was great! she took my dog for a couple of hours whilst I attended a football match, took my dog over to a local cafe and kept her company she was really communicative and let me know how my (usually nervous) dog was doing highly recommend

A true dog lover and genuine lovely person. My dog adores her. She has a sensible attitude and always helpful. So easy to arrange walks with.

Lucy is a responsible pet parent with 2 dogs of her own. Whenever she’s around mine of other friends pets she’s very attentive and loving towards them. So I think she’d be the same caring way with others pets.
