My dogs at home are well cared for and have ample space to run and play outside. I am currently in school to be a dog trainer, so I know dog behavior signals and a couple other necessities for properly caring for a dog I don’t know well! I will abide by any rules/feeding instructions that you provide and making your dog’s experience as stress free as possible is my #1 goal. For my small dog owners! I wanted to speak to you specifically about the extra caution I take when caring for our smaller friends:) I own 3 big dogs so I understand the extra worry when leaving your dog here. Hopefully these few facts will make you feel more comfortable, I have worked at a doggy daycare that had all dogs out together (chihuahuas to great danes and mastiffs) so I have a lot of experience with managing big and small dogs. I also take extra caution when introducing my dogs to smaller dogs. All of my dogs have been around small dogs and are very appropriate in their interactions, they’re also either under physical (leashed) or verbal control (they’re well trained and learn more every day, we love to learn in this house😊). You are more than welcome to ask any more questions you may have! I say it often, my number one priority in doing this job is to make your dog as comfortable, safe and happy as possible.

Information Lucy R. would like to know about your pet

Be sure to let me know of any medications, or special needs your dog has! I don’t have a preference on breed, size or personality of your dog but I would love to know of any funky behaviors that might effect our time together (dog reactivity/fearfulness, nervousness around new people or in new places etc.) The only type of behavior I’m not willing to bring in to my home is severe dog/cat aggression, this is for the safety of my own pets who are very important to me as I know yours are to you:) Other than that I am happy and excited to take care of your pet and make sure that they are as stress free and happy as they can be while you’re away!

A typical day

Spending time making sure your dog is properly exercised and enriched is my favorite part about taking care of them!! Going on a walk, playing fetch, providing a puzzle toy or kong, all super good activities that I do with my dogs and would love to do with your dog(s)!

I’ve been taking care of animals basically my whole life. Dogs are my forte but I’m a cat person at heart. Feeding, bathing and walking dogs/cats is second nature to me.

Lucy did an amazing job. We appreciated that she not only kept our boys fed, but spent time there and gave them a lot of love, and we really loved seeing all the photos of them every night. We will be using Lucy again!
