Pet care experience

I’ll treat your pup like family! 💕

Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I’ve been caring for all kinds of pets including dogs, cats, birds, and even lizards since I was 12 years old, and I grew up in a home where animals were always treated like family. For three summers in a row, I attended the Riverside Animal Shelter’s Critter Camp, where I learned hands-on animal care, dog training techniques, and how to safely work with animals of all different sizes, temperaments, and personalities. When your pet stays with me, they aren’t just another booking, they become part of the family. I love getting to know each pet’s little quirks, routines, favorite toys, and personality so I can make them feel as comfortable and loved as possible while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, a total cuddle bug, or somewhere in between, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and care. My goal is for you to have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and feeling right at home!

Lucy is amazing and I'm so thankful to have found her. My two munchkins received lots of love & care during their stay. Communication was thorough and direct, and i received updates with video recordings, which brought a huge smile to my face. Thanks again, Lucy!

Our dog Koa had a fund stay. She met some friends and seemed to be in good spirits. Lucy did a great job keeping us up to date.

Wasn’t available for the time range I had specified so I had to book a last minute sitter which ended up costing more. I tried multiple ways to get in contact and received no response. Not sure I believed the story I was told. It is what it is.

Schedule

I’m a full-time pre-law university student, which means I spend most of my time at home and have plenty of flexibility to give your pup lots of love, attention, and companionship throughout the day! I’m happy to plan my schedule around your dog’s usual routine, whether that means specific feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, or plenty of cuddle breaks. My goal is to keep their routine feeling as normal and comfortable as possible while they’re in my care!

Safety, trust & environment

I love tailoring each stay around your dog’s normal everyday routine! I’ve found that keeping things as familiar as possible helps dogs feel happier, more relaxed, and right at home while their family is away. Have an energetic pup who loves to play? They’re welcome to run around the yard, explore, and get their zoomies out to their heart’s content! Have more of a professional napper on your hands? They’re more than welcome to spend the day sunbathing, lounging around, and finding the coziest spot in the house. Every pet has their own personality, habits, likes, and dislikes, and I want their stay to feel like it was made just for them. Please tell me all about their routine, favorite activities, little quirks, and anything that helps them feel most comfortable so I can give them a boarding experience perfectly tailored to their needs. Fair warning: all pets staying with me may be subjected to excessive amounts of hugs, kisses, compliments, and general spoiling. 🐾💕

Pets

A typical day

I love making every stay feel like a little vacation! During the summer, I’ll sometimes throw doggy pool parties at my house for the pups who love the water. Some dogs are ready to jump right in and cool off, while others would much rather stay dry and that’s totally fine too! We have plenty of shaded spots where they can lounge, relax, and enjoy the day at their own pace. I have a large yard where the dogs have plenty of room to explore, play, stretch out, and enjoy some fresh air. I love spending time outside in the sun with them, whether they’re running around, sunbathing, or just hanging out by my side. During the holiday season, I also love getting a little festive! If you’d like, I’m happy to take cute photos of your pet in front of our Christmas tree so you have a sweet holiday keepsake to enjoy. And when it’s time for me to study or get some schoolwork done, your pet is more than welcome to curl up nearby and be my little study buddy. Whether they want to play, relax, soak up the sun, or just hang out, I love making sure they feel included, comfortable, and right at home! 🐾

A few things are especially important for me to know before your pet’s stay so I can make sure everyone is safe, comfortable, and happy! Please let me know about your dog’s temperament around other animals, any special care they may need, and any commands or cues they already know. I’d also really appreciate knowing whether your pet is fully potty trained so I know how closely I need to supervise them. At this point, I’m starting to spend more on cleaning products than I make petsitting… lol. I am comfortable and experienced caring for dogs who are reactive or aggressive toward other dogs. I have a routine in place that allows me to safely keep them separated from any other dogs I may be boarding at the time, including my own dogs. Reactivity toward unfamiliar dogs does not automatically mean your pup isn’t a good fit for my home, please just be completely upfront with me about their behavior so I can prepare accordingly and keep everyone safe. However, if your dog has a history of aggression or conflict with another pet from your own household who will be booked and staying with them, I need to know beforehand. In those situations, the owner must provide appropriate crates or other necessary containment for each pet, along with detailed information about their triggers, history, and normal management routine. Because they are arriving together as a pair, I need the proper equipment and information to safely manage them if they cannot reliably be together unsupervised. If your dog causes damage to my home or property, I do expect the owner to cover the cost of any necessary repairs or replacements. I completely understand that accidents happen, but I like to be transparent about this policy ahead of time. If your dog is primarily an indoor dog and you would like them to spend most of their stay inside, please make sure they arrive clean and fully groomed. I love having my furry guests inside with me, but I also want to keep my home clean and comfortable for everyone. And one last thing: please let me know if your dog is a jumper, especially if they’re on the larger side! I’m a small woman, and an enthusiastic greeting from a big pup can feel a lot like being tackled by a linebacker. 😂 Jumpers are absolutely still welcome, I just like to know ahead of time so I can mentally and physically prepare for the incoming body slam. Thank you for helping me get to know your pet before their stay! The more honest and detailed information you can give me about their personality, routine, quirks, triggers, likes, and dislikes, the better I can prepare and give them a stay that is safe, comfortable, and tailored specifically to them. 🐾
