Pet care experience

You’re pet’s home away from home.

I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra TLC. I’m comfortable with administering oral medications, following special diets, and creating a calm, loving environment for anxious or elderly pets. I treat them like family, and I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s long walks, structured playtime, or just quiet cuddles on the couch, I adjust to each pet’s unique needs. I also have experience with basic training for young pups, including leash walking, crate training, and reinforcing good behavior. You can relax knowing your pet is in capable, caring hands! I have hands-on experience caring for large breeds like Labs, Shepherds, and Great Danes—I’m confident with strong dogs and know how to keep them safely exercised and calm. I also work really well with anxious pets. I take things slow, build trust, and create a peaceful environment where they feel secure and loved. Whether it’s a big dog who needs plenty of play and structure or a nervous pup who needs gentle care and reassurance, I’ve got it covered. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are always my top priority.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

At my home, pets are treated like part of the family! I have two friendly dogs who love to play and make great companions for visiting pets. I do have a fenced-in patio for quick potty breaks, but I prefer taking dogs on walks for exercise and enrichment—they love the fresh air, and so do I! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I keep their routine as close to normal as possible. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, whether that means playtime, quiet cuddles, or sticking to a specific feeding or walking schedule. Your pet’s needs always come first!

She has been dog sitting for family and friends for years. She loves animals and works with them daily at St Matthews vet. She has helped foster over 50 puppies from the Humana Society here in Louisville. I feel confident leaving my pups with her. I spend many weekends out of town, and she comes to my house and takes care of my crew.

Schedule

Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life—I work at a veterinary office, so I’m constantly around animals and committed to their well-being. One of the perks of my job is that I’m able to bring pets with me during the day, which means your pet will never be left alone for long stretches and will always be supervised in a safe, animal-friendly environment. Whether I’m at work or home, your pet will be in caring, experienced hands around the clock!

Before watching any pet, I always make sure to learn everything I need to keep them safe, happy, and comfortable. I like to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medications or special needs. It’s also important for me to understand their personality—whether they’re playful, shy, anxious, or full of energy—so I can give them the right kind of care. I ask about how they do on walks, around other animals, and in new situations, as well as any fears or triggers they might have. Knowing their favorite toys, treats, and calming tricks helps me make sure they feel at home while you’re away. I also make sure to have vet info, emergency contacts, and any house rules you’d like me to follow.
