I spend most of my afternoons hiking and socializing my dog within the community and surrounding trails. Its a highlight of the day for both of us, so we would love to have more furry friend join our "pack." When we're not hiking, doing community-based trainings, or lounging at the park, we love to play in our backyard! I am comfortable with training all ages of dogs and even medically fragile pets seeing as I have personal/professional experience in these areas.

Information Lucy N. would like to know about your pet
I have experience working with a wide range of dogs when it comes to age and special needs or accommodations. Please let me know if there are any additional steps I can take in order to help your pet feel more comfortable during our time together.
A typical day
Depending on the dog’s needs and interests, I typically utilize local hiking trails, parks, and yards to stimulate the doggies. I always have toys or a ball on hand which most of them love.

Pet care experience
I’ve cared for animals since I started my own dog walking business in high school. I then walked dogs and house sat during college, and I most recently trained dogs in LA with a company called AdventureDogLA. With AdventureDog, I took packs on daily pack walks in Highland Park, worked the daycare, as well as doing individual/group trainings in-home and out in the community. I now have my own fur baby who I care for full time and its been the most rewarding experience. She is a very friendly female dog who is well socialized and was trained to be an ESA/PSD. She ended up taking and passing the AKC Good Canine Citizen Test in 2019 and spends much of her time out-and-about in the community with me. I have experience training pets myself, and have attended multiple courses in person through AKC and my most current employer who has his CPDT-KA.
Reviews
Lucy has cared for our dog June on multiple occasions. We never had to think twice about her being in great, competent. Lucy was always on time, and gave June as much love and attention as we do. Very dependable! June adores her!
Lucy has provided care for our Minnie Aussie-doodle, CeCe since she was a pup. Lucy is reliable, kind and devoted to CeCe when she is providing care. When Lucy is providing care for CeCe, she takes her on long walks and hikes.
Lucy is an extremely competent, compassionate, patient dog trainer, so evident in how much her own dog, Maggie, loves her! Her leash handling skills of multiple dogs are great and I've seen her handle more on hour long hikes. Lucy's background in education, children's psychology and her passion working with dogs makes her not just an amazing dog caregiver, but also an incredibly empathetic and knowledgeable person. I trust her with my cattledog! :)
Lucy (and her amazing pup Maggie) have been incredible companions to Shepherd, my dog. Lucy took care of Shep on a daily basis for months and months, and I knew Shep was having the best time and in good hands! They'd go on fun hikes together (Lucy knows all the best spots and takes great photos) and Lucy even gave us pup-friendly goodie bags on holidays. She was also very flexible on timing and would often accommodate my schedule, day-of which is a huge relief. Lucy was part of an adventure dog pack through our trainer, and he always has the best people on staff. Lucy also is very knowledgeable about dogs - I learned a lot about my pup through her. So, all in service of saying, Lucy is an awesome addition to a pup's life and I highly recommend her!
