Availability
I work part time (about 15 hours a week) so I have a very flexible schedule. I will be able to drop-in and visit your pet every 4-6 hours. If I am dogsitting, I will be in your home for most of the day: I usually only leave for work or any appointments I may have.

I am hyper aware of pets who are escape artists. I always make sure to double check that doors are closed and locked before I leave. I have been house sitting for many years and have never had any problems with doors/locks/ etc. I make sure there are no hazards that pets could get themselves into. I am knowledgeable about plants and foods that are dangerous for pets.
Information Lucy M. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preference. I always like to do a meet-and-greet before the days of service. I like to know what your pets eating habits are like, their exercise preferences, and the things they are not friendly with (like other dogs, squirrels, bikes etc).
A typical day
I love to play with pets and make sure they are entertained. I know how to behave around new animals in order to gain their trust. I like to take dogs on walks as well, if they require.

Pet care experience
Hey there! I’ve been pet-sitting for friends, family, and clients for almost 10 years. I love both dogs and cats (and other pets as well), and have experience in caring for multiple pets at once. I am happy to watch pets who have medical needs, and make sure they are especially cared for. I am able to administer injected and oral medicine, and I can follow any and all detailed instructions. 📝 I also love plants, and can take the role of plant-sitter as well as pet-sitter if needed! 🌱

Reviews

I had to leave my two Siamese boys home for the holidays. I was very nervous. I work from home and they aren't home alone much, if at all! Having true flame-point Siamese characteristics, they require constant attention and play. They are known to be one of the most social of cat breeds and are often called the royalty of cats for good reason! Lucy stayed over the whole week and did more than give them her undivided attention! She followed their feeding schedule and medicine administration. They had just been neutered a week before and she checked that they were still healing properly. She checked in with me and responded promptly when I texted her to see how things were going. She let me know how much time she was with them and when she was away. I could tell when I got home they had still gotten the amount of playtime and cuddles they need. She met with me beforehand and went over last minute details as I requested before I left. I was in a rush the day I left and Lucy watered my plants for me. My dishwasher was broken at the time and couldn't run water in one side of my sink. She made sure to not use them and hand washed any dishes. I left my only apartment key with her and she didn't forget to put it back for my return. Everything was tidy and perfectly taken care of. I can tell Lucy enjoys animals and watching them. It's not a "job" for her, but a joy she holds in her everyday life. I am excited to have found a permanent sitter and my kitties are happy they'll have a familiar friend when I'm gone! I'm so grateful that she was able to stay over and spend her Christmas watching them. Thanks for becoming my cat-sitter Lucy!
Lucy always does a great job!!

Lucy was very communicative and patient with my shy kitty; I would happily book her as a sitter in the future!
Lucy watched our 6 yo kitty over the Thanksgiving holiday! She was so great to our little boy and sent us updates every day when she was with him. It was very clear that when we returned our cat was well taken care of and enjoyed Lucy’s company thoroughly. I would highly recommend Lucy to watch any of your animals. One last thing- it was great that she also met with us via FaceTime before we left to comply with COVID precautious.
