I am currently on a doggy break since my shih-tzu passed away a year ago. I am very used to having a dog and working from home means I am always there and able to take the dogs out for regular walks and give them lots of fuss and attention.

I would care for a dog just as I would my own. Regular walks, food when required and fresh water available. Lots of love and cuddles, happy to have them on the sofa with us. I would send regular updates to the owners to let them know how they were getting along.

Information Lucy H. would like to know about your pet
I have 2 young children so it is very important that your doggy can get along with children and isn’t aggressive. I of course would ensure my children also know their rules to give the dog space, and would never be left alone with them.
A typical day
I love to go for a walk, and would take them down to the seafront or the nearby park. I also like to snuggle up on the sofa in the evening and happy for them to join me. My children are at school during the day, so the house is very quiet. When the children are home I would ensure the dog had its own space and the children knew the rules with interacting with dog.

Pet care experience
I absolutely love dogs, and at the moment I have decided not to get a new dog quite yet, but in the interim would love to have some doggy company. My shih-tzu Jasmine left me a year ago, and the house does feel empty. We have 2 young children, who grew up with Jasmine, and therefore aiming to just board smaller dogs. We have a large garden, and we are always home (working from home). I’m used to have dogs on the sofas. They can make themselves feel at home with us.

Budleigh had another lovely stay with Lucy and her family. She kept us updated with pictures and texts and drop off and pick up is always easy. We will definitely book again

Thank you for taking care of Fizz. He was very happy when he came home.

We always send our dogs to stay with Lucy and her family now. They treat them as part of their family and we feel so lucky to be able to send them to a home from home and not have to worry about them.
Lucy was amazing looking after Budleigh and making him part of the family. He loved all the cuddles and playing with the children as well as being taken on walks and even going on a run. Lucy’s communication was great from the start meeting up to check Budleigh’s needs, sending photos and keeping us regularly updated. I would definitely use Lucy again.
