My job is pet sitter/walker/sahm so my weeks are split between dog walks/school drop offs/playing at home etc. We love hosting dogs who enjoy spending time with a family.

We have a fenced yard and a grassy area to run around in. We have stairs up to our front door and a flight of stairs down into the back yard - preferably dogs can walk up/down stairs by themselves.

Information Lucy H. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know the breed, age, energy level, and regular routine of your dog. What does he/she love to do? What does an awesome walk look like? What kind of leash/harness? Who do they love to play with at the park? Anything that may anxiety or things he/she dislikes? Any past incidents to be aware of with particular dogs? Is he/she happy to interact with kids? Basically any specific info and history you think will help me so we can have the best experience together. We have dogs visiting pretty often so if your dog is not interested in socializing with other dogs it probably won’t be a great fit, and obviously if they are not a fan of children too. Thanks for understanding!
A typical day
It's up to you how much exercise and sniff time you would like your pup to get. For overnight sits if you are happy for your social dog to meet others they are more than welcome to join a scheduled walk throughout the day - walk + socializing! For the social butterflies who are used to regularly visiting a dog park I'm more than happy to take them there. If your pup is more of a lone wolf let me know and it will just be the two of us. Trips to McNear Park or the water tower are current favorites, but anywhere that you both are familiar with is great! I can walk, take it easy with rest breaks for those who prefer a gentle walk, or play backyard fetch or tug of war. Just let me know your preferences!

Pet care experience
I have been offering dog boarding services in my home since 2020. We have a 5 year old who loves to throw balls and toys and a 7 year old who loves to brush so best if your dog is comfortable around little ones! We can arrange a meeting beforehand if you’re not sure. I'm an energetic, trustworthy and friendly Kiwi American with a strong affinity with animals but particularly dogs. My family had 3 pups growing up, Zoe and Jag, who were keeshonds and Demi, who was a golden retriever. I was the lucky one who got to shampoo, groom, feed, walk and play with these beauties! I have many years of experience caring for all kinds of dogs in New Zealand and since I moved to Petaluma 9 years ago I've been lucky enough to look after so many different kinds of dogs, including brand new puppies full of beans, gentle old timers, nervous rescues, ball/frisbee/treat/snuggle obsessed pups, squirrel chasers, bed burrowers - the whole gamut! I'd love to meet your quirky family members, give them love and care while you're away, and go for fun-filled walkies. Please don't hesitate to contact me about your upcoming sitting.
Reviews

Lucy was fantastic with our kitty while we were gone. He is very social, and she played with him every day and provided detailed updates. He seemed very happy and loved the attention!

Wonderful! Our pug had a great time with Lucy. She hardly wanted to leave. Thanks Lucy!

Lucy was a joy to work with, we truly felt our kitty was in good hands. This was our first experience with Rover and we were super pleased. Looking forward to booking again!

Lucy was wonderful with Dixon and very responsive. She always let me know what time she would arrive and took him on long walks. When she came back to drop off the keys, Dixon couldn’t contain his excitement in seeing her (the most important review!)
