I've owned cats since I was a child and have been cat-sitting since before I was 10. My own cat just passed after 15 years together, so I've experienced the breadth of energetic gremlins and sedate seniors requiring medication and subcutaneous fluids. I enjoy getting to know cats and feeling out where to best meet them in terms of affection, sociability, playfulness, and respect for introversion :D.

Safety, trust & environment
I appreciate a walkthrough of your home to ensure I know the location of food, litter, cleaning supplies, toys, brushes, and so forth. I'd also like to know if your pet has any allergies or dietary restrictions. If your pet requires medication, I will write up the instructions that I receive from you if you do not already have them written down and share with you to confirm dosage and administration. I'm also a big believer on erring on the side of over-communication to make sure that both you and your cat feel safe and comfortable.

Lucinda was so great. I have one very skittish cat and he warms right up to her. She sent lots of pictures and updates. The house was spotless when we returned, even had new sheets on the bed! Thank you so much!

Lucinda provided excellent in-home care for my cat, Jackson, while I was away for several weeks. This was the second time Lucinda took care of Pan. I know how comfortable pan was by how she followed her around and snuggled with her. On the last day, construction in the unit next door began which triggered pan’s severe anxiety brought on by noise. She was so kind and understanding, and did everything possible to try and put her at ease before having to leave.
Lucinda was amazing with Pan. I'm so so grateful for the care she took of her for the week I was gone. So many thoughtful updates and photos. I felt so at ease knowing that she was being so looked after. Coming home from a long international trip, it was so nice coming home to a clean and tidy place. And I'm lucky that she will be looking after Pan again for a short trip this coming week!
Lucinda is the picture of kindness and professionalism. I found myself in a challenging position, seeking care for my special needs cat. Mercifully, Lucinda not only possesses the specialized skill to help, but also a deep well of compassion- both for kitty and human companions alike. I would, in the future, hire Lucinda again over anyone else imaginable.

On days when I'm not in class, work, or clinicals, I'd hang around your home for most of the day to chill with, snuggle, entertain, or respectfully keep my distance based on your cat's wishes while I study!
