Couple who are looking for more dog experience!
Hello, we are Lucy and Nic, young professionals based in Manchester. We’re looking to adopt a dog in the next year and wanting to meet a wide range of different breeds before making our decision! My family’s have had dogs for the last 16 years (2 springer spaniels). A couple of years ago, my parents decided to get a Sprollie (Springer Collie cross) puppy which I trained the final summer of university living at home. They have also recently adopted a Sprocker spaniel. As you can imagine, it was very energetic but led me to make the decision that I wanted to adopt one myself soon. However, it’s not just puppies that I have trained. I have also got experience with many different ages of dogs, with the oldest now being 16. I am happy with any ages therefore, but also happy to help with early training. I’m passionate about dogs, and throughout university I volunteered to look after a cockapoo for a elderly member of the local community who was unable to walk them independently. Being away from home means I miss my dogs a lot, so looking to fill the void before getting a dog myself in the next year or so. Lucinda and Arnold were such a lovely couple who took lovely care of Luna. Loads of fun snaps sent to me, she was walked and played with and had loads of cuddles. A very happy and waggy dog when I picked her up. They were also flexible with drop off and pickup times which was great. Thanks for having Luna!

Lucinda was quick to respond to a last minute booking. Great drop off and communication through the stay. When I went to collect Rambo he seemed like he would have happily stayed longer.
Lucy was great as usual!! I had a couple of mishaps with travel and she was very understanding and accommodating of it. Frank came back very tired and content and was obsessed with fish!🤣

Schedule
We work from home 9-5 (flexibly) but have lunches off so can easily check in and do walks. We keep our calendar up to date so please have a look on there! However, if this time doesn’t suit I am able to easily adapt with my work at other points in the day. We are happy to do walks and look after dogs throughout the evening too.

Safety, trust & environment
I’ll tailor my approach to the dog having listened to what you want out of the sessions, but I am more than capable of safely walking, bathing, picking up after and caring for dogs needs. My dog is 16 now, so I am also capable of looking after senior dogs too. I’m capable of giving medications, treats and lots of cuddles to them as well.
A typical day
I’ll happily take the dog on a walk and play their preferred game (my Sprollie is obsessed with tennis balls), but also I appreciate that some dogs can get a bit over stimulated so happy with whatever! Happy to take it to different dog friendly Manchester areas and spots for socialisation, and local green spaces across Manchester.
