Tout s’est super bien passé pendant la garde de Douwap. Lucie a proposé une premiere rencontre pour que Douwap puisse se familiariser avec son environnement et son chien. Puis je le lui ai confié pour un week end de 3 jours. J’ai eu des nouvelles tous les matins, avec photos et vidéos à l’appuie. Elle a été trés arrangeante sur l’organisation. Grace à elle, j’ai pu passer un week end trés serein. Elle a su gérer les petites protections de ressources de mon chien avec patience. J’y retournerai sans hésiter et je la recommanderai grandement

Unfortunately, our experience with this sitter was very disappointing and stressful. Before the booking, I explained Mochi’s routine and behaviour both through Rover messages and in person, including that he can bark when someone leaves or when doors close. She accepted the booking with this information. Only a few hours after dropping him off, she told us that she felt like a “prisoner”, that she could not leave her home, and that she no longer felt safe. She repeatedly asked us to find a solution immediately and even threatened to contact emergency services if we could not arrange for Mochi to be picked up. At the time, we were literally on a plane and unable to deal with the situation immediately. We had to organise an alternative solution from abroad, including paying for our friend to change her flight and return to Paris earlier, booking a dog-friendly hotel for her because her apartment was rented, and arranging everything while dealing with repeated messages during our flight. This caused us a significant amount of unnecessary stress and expense. What was particularly disappointing was that she also told us that she would only earn around €60 from the booking. If the financial compensation was not worth the commitment of caring for a dog for three days, I don’t understand why the booking was accepted in the first place. I completely understand that a sitter can decide that a dog is not a good fit and that safety comes first. However, in that situation, I would expect a professional sitter to communicate clearly, calmly and take responsibility for the booking rather than putting the owners under significant pressure to resolve the situation while they are travelling. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely stressful and did not give us the peace of mind we expected from using Rover. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this sitter.

Lucie est une pet-sitter exceptionnelle ! Elle promène mon chien Hoodie plusieurs fois par semaine. Elle est fiable, ponctuelle et attentionnée. Je reçois à chaque balade des nouvelles, ce qui me rassure énormément. Hoodie l’adore et moi aussi ! Je la recommande les yeux fermés à tous ceux qui cherchent quelqu’un de confiance pour s’occuper de leur animal.
