I have 3 cats & a dog who I treat as if they were my biological children. One of my cats & my dog are medically “blessed,” so I have experience giving meds & sticking to dietary restrictions. They are also anxious creatures, so I’m more than experienced in the world of patience. I foster for a cat rescue who saves stray cats & have experience with getting cats/kittens to trust me.

I can’t thank Lucia enough for taking such great care of my dog Oslo! Oslo had such a great overnight stay! Lucia was amazing at keeping me updated with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear Oslo felt comfortable and happy in her care. He settled in like he was part of the family. I’m so grateful for her kindness and would absolutely recommend her to anyone! We’ll definitely be booking with her again!
I've asked Lucia to feed and watch my two cats on several occasions. Usually my cats shy away from new people and keep their distance but Lucia was patient with them and they absolutely love her now. Anytime I leave for vacation now I feel happy knowing they will be taken care of by someone who genuinely cares about them. One time she noticed a small growth that was on my cats back before I even noticed, she told me about it and I appreciated it and luckily it was just a skin tag. The type of care and love that she shows them is something that I am thankful for and I'll continue asking her to watch my two fur babies.
Lucia has watched my dogs on multiple occasions. She is the go to person if I need someone for a day or for an extended period. She takes good care of my dogs and follows any instructions left to a t. My dogs absolutely love her. When she comes to watch them or even walk them they are so excited. I recommend Lucia for any of your pet needs. She is trustworthy, kind, loving, patient and understanding.
Lucia took great care of my cats. She was able to deal with the meds my cats take very easily. She has medical knowledge and experience with high need pets so she would be perfect for any medical needs your pet has.

Schedule
I work full-time but am available weekday evenings for drop-ins & walks. I am available for boarding & house-sitting on weekends or over holidays. My weekends are flexible, so I can also accommodate medication schedules easily

Safety, trust & environment
With a fenced in yard, dogs can enjoy time outdoors safely. I live in a quiet neighborhood that allows for nice walks. My dog & cats are very laidback. For other dogs, after a proper introduction, my dog loves playing with other dogs & is cat savvy. Since I foster, I also have a separate room where I could keep any cat guests.
Pets
A typical day
I like taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood, local parks, or even the lakefront. I’m a true believer in mental enrichment & enjoy making enrichment bowls. A nice round of fetch in the backyard is also on my list of fun activities.
