Hello, my name is Lucia, and I am a lifelong dog lover with over 30 years of experience as a dog owner. I have cared for dogs throughout my entire life, ranging from high-energy hunting breeds to low-energy companions. Additionally, I've had the privilege of caring for the pets of friends and neighbors. Dogs are undoubtedly part of my family, and I bring this passion and expertise to every pet I care for. My almost 14-year-young Shih Tzu, Benji, is very friendly and calm, making him a wonderful companion for your pooch. It would be my pleasure to take care of your fur baby while you enjoy your time away from home. I will provide multiple daily walks, frequent potty breaks, and playtime, all while ensuring a laid-back and safe environment for your furry friend. You can rest assured that your fur baby will have a vacation too, and you will return home to a relaxed, happy puppy! (Note: Based on prior experience, I’m not able to accept chihuahuas. Thanks so much for your understanding!)

Lucia has looked after our Luna a few times now and she is excellent! Very communicative and sends photos and videos to share how Luna is doing. I feel very comfortable leaving her in Lucia’s care.
Lucia has taken care of Ziggy for doggy daycare several times over the last few months, and she’s always been great! She’s responsive, flexible, and sends updates and photos. She pays close attention to the dogs in her care and lets us know about anything she notices with Ziggy. Ziggy is always happy and relaxed with Lucia and her dog Benji, and we feel completely at ease leaving him with them. Thanks, Lucia!
Lucia is absolutely the best! We needed someone we could trust to watch Miley two days a week while we’re in the office, and we feel so incredibly lucky to have found her. Miley can be a little anxious at first, but she immediately warmed up to Lucia and Benji, and it’s so clear how much she loves spending time with them. Every time we pull up, she runs from the car straight to their door! Lucia sends us lots of photos and updates throughout the day, which gives us so much peace of mind. Most importantly, it’s clear that she genuinely loves and cares for Miley as if she were her own. We can go to work knowing that Miley is happy, safe, and so well cared for. We trust Lucia completely and will only use her to care for Miley, both for daycare and whenever we’re out of town. We truly couldn’t ask for a better person to care for our girl. Leaving our dog for the first time was stressful however Lucia made the process very comfortable and smooth. Daily photos and updates were provided and much appreciated! Lucia is quick to reply to messages. She is very caring. We would definitely leave our dog with her again!
This was our first time using Rover and I’m so glad that Lucia had availability to take Luna for day care…by the third day Luna didn’t even spare us a second glance when we dropped her off lol…I will be a repeated customer and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
Lucia was great with caring for Bentley and kept me well informed with pics of how he was doing during his stay.

Schedule
I'm currently working from home full-time, which means I'll be able to keep your dog company throughout the day and take them for potty breaks as needed. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends to provide care and attention to your furry friend.

I have a fenced backyard and a friendly dog, Benji, to keep your fur baby company. There are multiple parks and walking trails nearby, including the scenic Water Front Trail. Port Credit is a very safe area, and my home is smoke-free. I can crate your dog as needed, ensuring they feel secure. I'm committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your pup.

A typical day
During the day, we enjoy multiple walks to explore all the new and interesting smells. We stroll through the neighborhood and often take longer walks to the big park with a lake and trail just across the street. On weekends, we embark on longer hikes and spend hours outdoors. For mental stimulation, we play fetch and engage in puzzle games with treats.
