Hello, my name is Lucia, and I am a lifelong dog lover with over 30 years of experience as a dog owner. I have cared for dogs throughout my entire life, ranging from high-energy hunting breeds to low-energy companions. Additionally, I've had the privilege of caring for the pets of friends and neighbors. Dogs are undoubtedly part of my family, and I bring this passion and expertise to every pet I care for. My almost 14-year-young Shih Tzu, Benji, is very friendly and calm, making him a wonderful companion for your pooch. It would be my pleasure to take care of your fur baby while you enjoy your time away from home. I will provide multiple daily walks, frequent potty breaks, and playtime, all while ensuring a laid-back and safe environment for your furry friend. You can rest assured that your fur baby will have a vacation too, and you will return home to a relaxed, happy puppy! (Note: Based on prior experience, I’m not able to accept chihuahuas. Thanks so much for your understanding!)

Leaving our dog for the first time was stressful however Lucia made the process very comfortable and smooth. Daily photos and updates were provided and much appreciated! Lucia is quick to reply to messages. She is very caring. We would definitely leave our dog with her again!
This was our first time using Rover and I’m so glad that Lucia had availability to take Luna for day care…by the third day Luna didn’t even spare us a second glance when we dropped her off lol…I will be a repeated customer and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
Lucia was great with caring for Bentley and kept me well informed with pics of how he was doing during his stay.

I couldn’t recommend Lucia more. This was the first time we leave our pet with someone else since we adopted him and we were very nervous, especially since we had never used Rover before. Not only did Lucia put us at ease and made the experience stress-free, she went above and beyond to send updates and photos everyday throughout. She implemented every request we made and gave our pet a second home while we were away. He became part of the family as she liked to say. Her house with its backyard is perfect for a dog that likes to explore, and her dog Benji is a clear testament to how well she treats pets. He’s a calm, loving dog and our dog, who can be scared of other dogs, was clearly comfortable with him around. We couldn’t be more thankful for the care our dog received and we’re glad we found Lucia. I strongly and confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!
This was our first experience with Rover and Lucia made it a wonderful experience and alleviated all our worries about leaving our dog with someone else for the first time. She treated our dog with love, care, and kindness, and was great at communicating throughout the day. We did a daycare session in preparation for a longer boarding session and our dog clearly enjoyed his time with Lucia and her dog Benjie. Benjie is a very calm and loving dog and he made it easier for our dog to adjust. We’re glad we found Lucia and lucky this was our first experience with Rover. We will be leaving our dog with Lucia for boarding and we’re excited for all the fun he will have!

Schedule
I'm currently working from home full-time, which means I'll be able to keep your dog company throughout the day and take them for potty breaks as needed. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends to provide care and attention to your furry friend.

I have a fenced backyard and a friendly dog, Benji, to keep your fur baby company. There are multiple parks and walking trails nearby, including the scenic Water Front Trail. Port Credit is a very safe area, and my home is smoke-free. I can crate your dog as needed, ensuring they feel secure. I'm committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your pup.

A typical day
During the day, we enjoy multiple walks to explore all the new and interesting smells. We stroll through the neighborhood and often take longer walks to the big park with a lake and trail just across the street. On weekends, we embark on longer hikes and spend hours outdoors. For mental stimulation, we play fetch and engage in puzzle games with treats.
