I wake up early for pet care. Routines are important. Cats are fed; dogs get love and treats. Fresh water at all times, access to food on schedule. I currently have open availability for caring for other pets. I have the means and accommodations to be able to assist with any task. I have a loving, supportive family who encourages my efforts to build healthy relationships between pets and owners, and make sure owners feel comfortable that their pet is getting the best care.

Some examples I would include are the fact that the cats and dogs are kept indoors, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. When dogs go out for walks, they are leashed and kept to appropriate social behaviors. Making sure each pet is rewarded for good behavior and that regular behaviors are positively reinforced with kind words, actions, and/or treats. I am consistent on cleaning methods, with each pet having a clean litter box everyday, or multiple potty breaks throughout the day. I hand-wash food bowls and keep everyone safe, healthy, and comfortable.

I’d like to be aware of any special needs or feeding preferences so I am able to accommodate accordingly. I’d also like to know of any behavioral issues, like a dog that’s intimidated of strangers.

Playing with pets is my favorite part of watching them. I take dogs for long walks, run around with them in the backyard, provide them with chew toys, play fetch, and give them food puzzles for mental stimulation. For cats, I let them chase strings, feather toys, and I throw around mouse toys and puffballs for them to hunt. I often put shows on TV for pets to watch, like calming music or bird videos.

Wow! Lucas was awesome! I have three dogs, including one very anxious senior dog who hates being separated from me. Lucas went above and beyond with all my dogs, but particularly my old guy who doesn’t trust men. Lucas was so patient with him and was able to coax him out of his safe space which is the bathroom. I had never used Rover before, but my normal sitter was not available. I’m so glad I found Lucas and absolutely recommend him to anyone needing an animal sitter.
Lucas is conscientious & gives his all to ensure that my cats are perfectly taken care of. He provides excellent physical & emotional care so they aren’t lonely while I’m away. Great communication, such as giving me advance notice that bc of the snowstorm he wouldn’t be able to come & so I was able to find a neighbor to stop in & check on my girls!😻
Lucas stayed at our house overnight taking care of our two border collies and couldn't be happier with his level of care. The dogs LOVED him and we loved the updates and photos that he would send us. We feel super lucky to have found him for future trips.
