Hired Lucas to fill in while our normal walker is sick. Scheduled him for 4 walks during the week. He was 30 minutes late for first appointment. Then our dog had no pee or poo breaks on his walk which was out of character and when he came back he just didn’t seem happy at all. He usually comes back happy and full of energy. But this time he was hanging his head, energy was off and he just laid down and seemed so sad. He didn’t even want a goodie. So, I canceled the rest of the walks thinking Lucas wasn’t a good fit. I was trying to be positive about it until it took DAYS and multiple communications with rover to cancel the rest of the booking. And then I find out Lucas is getting paid $20 instead of the $12 he charges for a 30 minute walk. Contacted Rover again only to be told it’s something to do with his cancellation policy. I scheduled and canceled those walks on the same day. I didn’t tip him because my dog was so off when he came home. I wasn’t going to leave a review at all but the $20 was the deciding factor for me. Learning experience for me. I’ll never schedule multiple walks with someone based on their reviews ever again. This just isn’t something you can assume will go well.

Very polite and kind to my boys. He's a great communicator and I appreciate it. My boys know that they get a longer walk when he's around so they love seeing him come by.

Lucas is very dependable and thorough. He did everything that we needed exactly how we asked him to do so. He was on time and communicated with us throughout.

Lucas watched my dog Pepper for a few days while we were out of town. He did great watching Pepper and made sure she had plenty of food and exercise. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
