I've been surrounded by dogs since I was two years old, and my family adopted Tasha, a husky blue heeler cross. After that, a new rescue dog would join our family every few years, each with their own unique quirks and special accommodations. This was the case until I left for university. I love animals of all sorts, and am excited to make some new pawed pals. My approach is centered around the idea of no force, no fear.

My wife and I recently left our Obi with Lucas for a long weekend. It was our first foray into the world of Rover and we were not disappointed. Lucas was extremely professional from start to finish. He clearly loves animals of all types and we wouldn't hesitate using his services again.
Lucas provided great care for our puppy and 12 year old dogs (as well as our 13 year old cat) while we were gone for two and a half weeks. He housesat for us and looked after our garden - kept us updated and sent beautiful photos of the pets. Thank you Lucas!

Lucas was an excellent dog sitter, pictures and updates were sent to me daily. This was the first time I have left Toby with a stranger and he did very well with Lucas. I think Lucas has a kind way with animals, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.

Lucas saved the day by watching our pup with short notice. They spent a long weekend together and she came back to us in great condition and was clearly happy to hang out with Lucas for a few days. He’s diligent and easy to work with. He was prompt to reply to questions and sent lots of great photos and updates during her stay. We will definitely use him again when needed.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm my home pets have access to the whole place, and are treated essentially as equals (minus access to food). The place is a spacious one bedroom suite in a single family home on a quiet street. I also have a "wild" fenced-in backyard any animal visitors are free to roam. My home includes Shadow, a street-hardened-now-pampered elder indoor cat. In your home, I will respect all house rules (obviously?) If my rates are too much, but my service alligns with what you're after, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I do my best to offer a sliding rate, taking into consideration details such as a person's financial and housing security. In an effort to provide full transparency, please know that 20% of my fees go to Rover.

A typical day
What we'll do will of course come down to location and the personality of each pet. My preference is to follow routes that lead through a more natural environment. Whether that be dog friendly parks, paths, or trails will all come down to your pet and their unique needs. Ultimately, I'm more than happy to accompany your pet wherever they feel happiest.
