Howdy! I’m Lucas. I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always come really naturally to me. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience with pets of all kinds, from dogs and cats to small animals and even horses, and I’ve also spent time working on a farm. I’m comfortable with pretty much every stage of pet care, whether that means keeping up with an energetic puppy, giving a senior pet a little extra patience, administering medication, or sticking closely to a specific routine. I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust looking after your pets and your home, so I take that responsibility seriously. I have a small dog of my own, Paisley, so I also understand firsthand how much peace of mind it gives you to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’m very attentive, communicative, and happy to send plenty of updates and photos along the way. More than anything, I want your pets to feel like they’re getting time with someone who actually enjoys being there with them. Whether that means long walks, playtime, couch cuddles, or just keeping them company, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and make their time away from you as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

I have a dog of my own, Paisley, so I know firsthand how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for your pet. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, boundaries, and any specific instructions you have for their care. I’m respectful of your home, attentive to things like doors, gates, leashes, medications, and feeding schedules, and I’ll always keep you updated while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for.

Lucas came through on a holiday with short notice. Good vibes, clear and frequent communication, thorough pre-trip meet-and-greet, locked the doors, kept the house clean, and my dogs were happy when I returned; I will re-book.
Lucas was great with my dog. He was quick to respond and the drop off and pick up went smoothly. He spent quality time with my dog while I was away. I will book again in the future.

Schedule
I work remotely in real estate and also freelance in creative and social media work, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. Since most of my work can be done from home, I’m able to be present throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, medication, and lots of attention. I can easily adjust my routine around your pet’s normal schedule and make sure they’re comfortable, cared for, and never left alone for long stretches.

- Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know a little about their personality, daily routine, feeding schedule, energy level, and any medical needs or medications. Please also let me know about any quirks, fears, triggers, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, or behaviors I should be aware of. Every pet is different, and the more I know ahead of time, the easier it is for me to keep their routine familiar and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m always happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible!
