An Animal-Loving Therapist
Hello y’all! I am very experienced in training dogs and caring for dogs, cats, and most other animals. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. My prior amazing pittie, Bo Peep, was deaf. Thus, I know ASL commands and signs from training her myself. So, I am able to work well with other deaf/hard-of-hearing animals. I’ve been lucky enough to have and/or care for all sorts of animals throughout my entire life, especially growing up as a feral child (haha) in Florida. I always tried to bring animals home (often to my mom’s dismay), and I’ve worked with various animals (e.g. birds of all sizes, reptiles, cats and dogs especially, horses, amphibians, fish, and some other farm animals). I have no problem giving medication or following any medical-related plans. I work with pets of all ages. I look forward to meeting y’all!

We are so glad to have found Lucas to watch our dog while we were gone for 5 nights. He was responsive, answered all my questions, and offered a meet and greet ahead of time. We felt at ease leaving Miles with him and while we were gone got daily updates, pictures, and videos. Miles came home happy and cared for. Thank you so much!
Lucas was so welcoming and flexible with our plans changing last minute at both drop off and pickup. He was amazing with the dogs and we got so many photos and updates. It was clear he loves what he does and the dogs know it!! Would definitely book with him again next time I’m in town!
Lucas was beyond amazing. He's very loving and caring concerning you and your pets. I needed to come a day early and leave a day later and he accommodated us without issue. He's genuinely a pleasure to be around. My babies absolutely loved hanging with him. He made them feel right at home and he loved on them so much! I must have received a thousand pics and videos throughout the day lol. We were in constant communication and he really made me comfortable leaving my babies in his care. His home is pet friendly and he has the perfect yard for them to run a be free. He allowed me to drop in on them and stay as long as I wanted. Boarding with Lucas was a great experience for me and my babies. Going forward, I will absolutely board with him every time! Thank you so much Lucas!!! Well see you next time!

Schedule
I am currently a therapist that works remotely from home, so I am able to be with fur babies in-between clients throughout the day to meet their needs.

I am very active, so plenty of walks for pups! With dogs and cats, I try to provide them with as much mental stimulation that I can (and maybe a few treats).
A typical day
I enjoy hiking, cuddling, swimming, just generally being outdoors, playing in the house, snuggles and affection, and other options for pets that I’m caring for if they enjoy these activities. For kitties/cats, I take a lot of time to play, give pets if they like them, and make sure they get the mental stimulation they need. Lots of cuddles if they also like to do so.
