Home full-time w/large fenced yard!
I am a retired dog lover who is able to care for dogs in my home on a full-time basis. I am understanding about the needs of dogs - their need for love, security, and the feeling that the person they see as "mom" will always be there to nurture and care for them. Cody (my senior beagle), Bella (chihuahua), Coco (minpin), and Willow (pomeranian) are all adopted from shelters and rescues, and they light up my life. Any dogs I care for in my home will be treated with the same devotion and love as I give my own four pups. Choosing my home as the "home away from home" will ensure a calm, loving atmosphere for your dog as opposed to the sometimes noisy and unsettling environment of a kennel.

Luana was a nice person, however, several serious concerns. Upon arrival, the home smelled like urine, the home was run down, dirty and disgusting. There was feces smashed into the floors and thick mold and mildew growing thick up from the flooring. All items in house were covered in dirt and/or dust indicating it hasn't been cleaned in ages. This was seen on the furniture, TV area, counter tops, you name it. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet ahead of the date of our departure so we had no choice to leave our dogs there. Upon arriving to pick up the dogs, I could not get myself to enter the home again. After we got home, both dogs have been seriously sick. Dehydrated, diarrhea, vomiting , lethargic, not themselves. We have had other sitters before and they never experienced this. 3 days later they are still sick and we will be going to the vet. We fear they were exposed to such unhealthy conditions that they have an internal infection. I am so sorry but this home is unsuitable for pets much less people.

Luana helped me out greatly! She communicated promptly and was willing to do a meet and greet before I booked since this was my first time using Rover for doggy care. I could tell that Bluey had a fun time and was in good care by the pictures that were sent to me !
Luana was great and took great care of my dog. She especially understands smaller dog breeds and the difference in care needed. I would definitely use her again in the future.
For what I see everything went well. Of coarse Smokey doesn't talk n let me know anything. It was smokey's first experience around other dogs.
Quick communication, good care, easy to work with. Would recommend.

I am able to give a lot of time to dogs in my home because I am retired and can set my own daily schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
My dogs are friendly once they are acquainted with a new dog (doesn't take much time!) and they enjoy the company of other dogs. If necessary, they can be separated for mealtimes and at night.

A typical day
We can romp and toss balls in my fenced-in back yard. I live in a small town, so we can take walks in a country-like atmosphere without a lot of vehicular traffic.
