For the love of Furbabies!
I have 10+ years of paid experience (and a lifetime without pay as I'm an avid pet owner) with many kinds of animals and life stages. I have extensive experience with reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fish, rats, mice, hamsters, birds, cats and dogs. Additionally, I am versed in hand feeding baby birds, general wound care, and K9 anal gland expression. I have rehabilitated and adopted out 4 dogs since the lockdown and find a lot of joy in K9 training and behavior modification.

Lourdes took wonderful care of my eighteen year old pet snake Diego for an extended period of time while I was away visiting family. She is clearly an avid pet lover who is also very experienced with caring for various fur babies and scaly critters alike. Forever my go-to if I need someone to watch my snake again, as she eagerly sent me updates and pictures whenever I was missing my little snake friend! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for any kind of pet care.
Lourdes is AMAZING. I couldn't recommend someone more highly. I am highly attached to my sweet girl, Nova, a medium sized husky mix. Nova goes almost everywhere with me, and I have a hard time leaving her when I need to go out of town. But, having Lourdes around has been life-saving. I don't have to worry about Nova when she's with Lourdes- I KNOW that she is safe, being taken care, and being loved on. Lourdes is an all around great person, and very much a great animal person. She has watched Nova for me MANY times, sometimes for a few days, sometimes longer than a week. Whenever I pick Nova up, she is so happy playing or being loved on that she hardly even notices I'm there. Ha! Nova is always so excited to see Lourdes, and that is, for me, the best indicator of how kind and loving and good Lourdes is to her. Again, HIGHLY recommend. You will not regret it.
Lourdes has boarded my dog Max on many occasions ranging from a weekend to a week straight. He is always excited once he realizes we are on the way to her place, and lately when I pick him up...sometimes he doesn't want to leave! He is always returned to me happy, healthy, and well exercised, otherwise he'd be bouncing off the walls. I recommend Lourdes to all of my friends who need dog boarding. It's so nice to know Max is being well taken care of and not having to worry when I have to leave town without him. Highly recommend!
Lulu has watched our dog countless times and it was always easy and convenient. She has also stopped by our house to check on and feed our cat when we have been out of town. Everything always went smoothly. Thanks.
Lourdes is probably one of the most dependable and loving pet parents I know, and that's saying something considering I have been in the veterinary industry for almost 10 years! I never hesitate to have her watch my energetic corgi or do a house visit to my grumpy elderly kitty, both of whom have specific special needs. She is extremely attentive to detail and very in tune with my pets. She also helped train my corgi and taught her some fun tricks, she is simple the BEST.

Schedule
I work remotely from home which makes my schedule very flexible. That being said, just like our pets, I thrive off routine and will try to schedule pet care accordingly. If you have a weird request, please ask! I like to make things work :)

Safety, trust & environment
I believe creating a positive environment for animals is critical. Animals cannot thrive when they are stressed, living in fear, or improperly cared for. For these reasons, I strive to know the individual and move at a pace appropriate for their needs. There is no stronger bond than one built on trust. Additionally, I clean up messes quickly and put much effort into animal husbandry and play.
Pets
A typical day
Inside the house we like to play with all the toys and chase them down the hallway. In the evenings we go into the courtyard to run around off leash, but only if we are friendly because other dogs sometimes come out to play too. The neighborhood here is beautiful for a nice stroll full of smells! Once we are all tired from the day we cuddle up with a nice movie or some peaceful music and a book
