Monday to Friday with your permission (and if you pick me) they come to daycare to meet the crew. If you would like more information please go onto Facebook and look up Sparkles and Lint Doggy Daycare. I have been on Rover now since 2021 and have looked after several hundred dogs. My partner Lukasz and I have looked after service dogs, dogs with disabilities (blind, tri-pawed) and even got to hang out with a cat or two. What brought us to the site was my love of animals and we have had our own Labrador for just over 6 years and he has definitely become part of the family. I’ve seen the high drive puppy stage (and survived), the teenage years and I have been fortunate to learn a lot through dog training classes although I am not a trainer, the experiences have taught me a lot! We walk in the morning, go to daycare Monday to Friday where this is constant supervision and even the most excitable dog will come back a little more mellow, walk after dinner and one more walk before bed. Exercise and engagement won't be an issue with us. We are very patient and will most definitely treat your 4 legged friend as if he or she were ours. So please let us know your specifications, we let dogs on the bed (when there is space) and on the couch but if this is something you are not comfortable with, please let us know. We do ask that any of our dogs come with a full history of vaccinations that are up to date and the owners are comfortable sharing that information with us.

Louise took great care of Violet and kept me up to date on her while I was on an overnight excursion while I was passing through Whitehorse. I’d use her again if I lived in the area.
Louise was a really big help to me, and looked after my dog while I was in town for medical. My dog loves going there.

Louise and Lukasz have been doggy sitting for us for two years now! They consistently go above and beyond, and we appreciate them so much! Our girl Fox can be a handful, she is sometimes anxious and can be very needy. Louise and Lukasz know how to put appropriate boundaries while also giving Fox what she needs. Fox always comes home tired and slips right back into our routine as if nothing had happened. ❤️
My dog, who is often tentative at meeting new people, liked Louise right away. He has stayed with her a few times now and shows excitement whenever we pull into her driveway. I’m so grateful to have found a reliable dog sitter who is attentive to the needs of my anxious dog. I would definitely recommend Louise to look after your dog while you are away!

Schedule
There is always one of us around, we run the daycare Monday to Friday and there is always Lukasz or myself there. On the weekend we make sure the dogs are exercised at least 4 times a day.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a trail to the forest at my back garden. I do not have a fenced yard but dogs do not go outside unattended. We prefer having dogs crated in our absence but we do work with fur parents who leave their dogs loose and work on strategies to keep everyone safe. They are treated just like our dog (our dog is crated) and we let them on the sofa, we try to not let them on the bed. There isn't much space when you have a dog or two on the bed but they get to hang out wherever we are.

A typical day
We are extremely fortunate to have the Porter Creek forest as our backyard. There are many trails we go along, in the Summer we go for hikes and have gone as far as the Sam McGee trail.
