Safety, trust & environment

I will care for your pets with strict adherence to how you'd like me to care for them. In terms of my personal pet-parenting style, I am the sort who sees my animals as family and they're allowed to lie on the couches and beds. Your pets health and diet are very important to me, so I will always take as much info or instruction as you wish to give me. We have two dogs and a cat at home, all of which are friendly towards other animals, so I will ask  that your pet plays nice, with them, as well! Animals who are tolerant/non-aggressive but need space are more than welcome to remain in a quiet room unbothered by our furry family members. We have a loft area where they can be completely separated if need be! They will, however, cross paths with the other dogs and cat when walked or let out in the fenced yard.

Information Louis W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any sensory issues or sensitivities your pet has. My partner who lives in my household with me has a fear of aggressive dogs so please be aware of that when booking pet sitting in my home. I have experience with reactive dogs, but I would very much like details ahead of time regarding walks or check-ins. Everyone's safety that's involved is very important to me, so never feel afraid to provide me in-depth information about an animal's temperament, health, or disabilities.

A typical day

Depending on the pet and their preferences, I am more than happy to play with them and cuddle them as much as they like! I love snuggly, clingy pets who enjoy scratches and brushings. I am physically disabled, so I cannot go on super long hikes with your dogs, but in a yard space or enclosed area, I will gladly play fetch, tug, or in the case of cats, any kind of toys they might like to hunt! I have no problem cleaning a litter box or picking up droppings. Basically, whatever your pet loves doing most I'm glad to do with them so long as it isn't too physically demanding or requires extended standing (walks are fine but I am a slow-paced individual!)

Pet care experience

I have extensive experience with raising animals! I was born into a family of dog lovers, and I have always had a furry friend for as long as I can remember. I have reared and cared for fourteen puppies all at the same time! This includes special-needs puppies who required consistent attention and hand feeding. I have sat for all different sorts of breeds, sizes, and animals! Including small animals like rats, guinea pigs, and reptiles. I have a deep love and compassion for animals and also have a lot of experience in dog training, meaning I am more than happy to keep up with any regimen or structure your friend needs.

We are so grateful to have found Luis. He did a phenomenal job watching our two big dogs while we were out of town for 5 days. He really takes his job seriously and loves animals. I hope Luis continues to dog sit because I couldn’t imagine leaving our babies with anyone else now.

I highly recommend Louis as a pet sitter. He was conscientious, caring, and communicative. It put my mind at ease to receive his updates and photos of Lucy and Nigel. I will definitely use him again! Thank you, Louis.

Louis did a wonderful job. We were gone 10 days, Louis took care of Taylor (golden retriever) and our house as if it was his. Amazing to find someone you can have that trust in. We will be using Louis from now on. Thanks Louis!
