I am very patient and can easily care for pets, even the ones that have a bit of a hard time learning. I've taught my own pet many tricks.

House Sitting • May 27, 2026

I was hesitant to write this review, but I feel it is necessary to share our experience for all who love their pets as much as we do. Louis was recently booked through Rover for a 9 Day House-Sitting Job. We have a 4-year-old Pit Terrier, Daisy, who is full of energy and love, but also struggles with separation anxiety. We’ve learned throughout the years that keeping her in her own space (opposed to boarding) is best for her to maintain her normal routine. At our meet/greet, Louis explained he had other dog walking responsibilities in the daytime between the hours of 8:30AM and 6:30PM but would come by early afternoon to take Daisy for a quick potty break and return in the evening to stay with her each night. While not ideal for her to be alone most of the daytime, we trusted that she would not be left alone without some human contact more than 5-6 hours at a time. Of note, we have a camera system for the outside perimeter of our home, as well as one in the living room for when we are away. Through monitoring the cameras, we observed Louis’ absence for 8-10 hours at a time on several days of the week. When he was present, Daisy’s basic needs were met – medication, food, water, letting her outside – but no playtime. Daisy would go up to him at the couch (which she is not allowed on, to be fair), with a toy in her mouth, tail wagging, begging for attention. Louis would ignore her, focusing on his phone or the television. The final straw was Tuesday night, when he left Daisy alone from 6:15PM to 6:45AM the next morning. When I messaged him to ask if everything was ok, he explained that his wife had a work emergency and he had to stay one night at home. I understand emergencies occur, but when that happens the correct decision is to communicate with us, so we can find alternative care. Without the cameras, I’m confident that we would never have been made aware of his sleeping elsewhere. He explained that he would communicate with me in the future, but that he didn’t think it was a big deal, since it was just one night, and Daisy was fine when he returned. When we are away from our loved ones, we hope and pray that we can rely on those entrusted with their care. For that reason, we will not be using Louis anymore. Thank you for taking the time to review my experience, which is hopefully not the norm.

Louis was fantastic. He was on-time and really seems to work well with both of our dogs. He just watched one of them and was great with her. She's very energetic and he sent pictures so that we could see how she was doing. Highly recommend Louis!

Dog Walking • May 10, 2026

Louis had to deal with our dog having an upset stomach when he arrived. He took good care of her and took her for a nice walk. We appreciated his care and concern, and he informed us of how she was doing which gave us peace of mind.

Communication is very important to me. I love sending you photos while you're away. I value being in touch at least once every evening about the day's activities, which includes highlights, questions, and photos of your animals.
