I’m a firefighter, and my schedule gives me quality time at home, which allows me to give plenty of attention and care to pets. My wife works part-time, and with the kids at school during the week and busy with sports on weekends, there’s always someone around to keep your dog company. We include dogs in our family routine—whether that’s school runs, relaxing at home, or heading out to football or rugby games, they’re welcome to come along and be part of the activity. Dogs with us get lots of interaction, fresh air, and family time, so they’re never left feeling lonely.

Safety, trust & environment

In our home, safety and comfort come first. We have two gardens, one of which is fully fenced where dogs can enjoy outdoor time safely with space to explore and play. Because the garden is secure, you can feel confident knowing your dog is always in a safe environment. Inside the house, we have plenty of space, and if needed, we can create a separate area or a cozy, secure space (like a crate or quiet room) to help dogs settle, rest, or have their own calm spot. We treat every dog with the same care and respect as our own, making sure they feel safe, included, and part of the family while they’re with us. Trust is important to us, so we keep routines consistent and always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable.

Information louie m. would like to know about your pet

To make sure your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for, please let me know the following before their stay: • Medication or Special Care: • Does your pet take any medication? • Are there any health conditions or special routines I need to follow? • Any allergies or dietary restrictions? • Behaviour and Temperament: • Does your pet have any behaviour concerns I should be aware of (anxiety, reactivity, chewing, barking, etc.)? • How do they get on with children and other animals? • Walking and Safety: • Dogs will be kept on a lead at all times during walks. Please let me know if your dog uses a harness, muzzle, or any other walking equipment. • Do they have good recall or react to other dogs/animals? • Crate/Cage Use: • Do they use a crate or cage at home? • If so, is it for sleeping, comfort or behaviour management? • Routine and Comforts: • What does their normal daily routine look like? • Do they have any favourite toys, comfort items or sleeping preferences?

A typical day

With beautiful parks and country walks nearby, daily adventures would be a big part of the routine—plenty of fresh air, sniffs, and tail-wagging along scenic paths. The garden full of toys is perfect for play sessions, whether it’s fetch, tug-of-war, or just zooming around in the sunshine. With four enthusiastic kid helpers, the pets would get endless attention, playtime, and cuddles. We’d rotate fun games to keep them stimulated—like treasure hunts for treats, gentle training games for mental enrichment, and maybe even some agility-style fun using toys and garden space. For pets who love companionship, there would be lots of company, interaction, and supervised play with the kids to keep them happy and engaged. And of course, there’d be quiet downtime too, with cozy spots to relax after all the excitement.

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes very naturally to me. We’re a loving family of six, and every one of us enjoys spending time with dogs—we treat them just like part of the family. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or just making sure they feel safe and comfortable, your dog will never feel alone with us. I understand different personalities and needs, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors, and I always make sure to follow their routines so they feel right at home. With a full, caring household and plenty of experience, your dog will get constant attention, love, and care.

Thank you to Louie and family for taking care of Ralph, and for keeping me updated over the weekend. Which enabled us to relax and enjoy a family wedding. Sounds like he had a ball and thanks for the grooming thrown in 🙂
