I have a warm heart for cold noses!
I’ve always had dogs in my life and am used to all kinds; big, small, puppies, reactive or just plain needy. My husband and I learnt most of our skills from our time as doggy foster carers, as well as boarding, walking and dog sitting all around the world. We’ve got lots of tricks and treats up our sleeves to make sure your pup feels totally at home with us, and we’ll send you plenty of updates too. We’ll tailor your dogs stay to their needs and give them lots of love and attention to make sure they don’t miss you too much.

We were let down last minute by friends for care for our dog, Dexter. Thank god I found Lou and she had availability! Dexter had the best week. We were kept up to date daily with what he had been up to. Lou was quick at responding to my questions when I first contacted her about caring for Dexter and we met up prior so Dexter and Lou could meet before. Thanks so much to Lou and her husband Stu!
Lou was fantastic looking after our pooch, Pedro. She was caring, reliable, and kept us updated, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Pedro was clearly very well looked after and happy in her care. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Lou again and would recommend her very highly to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and great with dogs.
Honestly I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lou and Stu. My dogs had a brilliant time staying with them, and the regular updates and pictures meant we were able to have a fabulous time on our holiday too. Our dogs are absolutely our babies, and I’m slightly ashamed to admit they are a little(!) spoiled, so we were really worried about leaving them with a stranger, however I thing the dogs enjoyed their week with Lou (and her hammock) almost as much as we enjoyed our week in Italy. Lou and Stu are clearly very experienced with dogs, and they are kind, patient and chilled (with dogs and owners!). Thank you xxx
Lou immediately put the dogs (and us!) at ease. Both Lou and her partner were so incredibly kind and understanding. Clearly very experienced with anxious dogs (and anxious dog parents!). The dogs adored them both and had the best time. I just know that during their stay my boys were totally safe, well looked after and happy. We are so glad to have found you Lou - thank you xx
Lou and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. Asked questions prior to get to know the dogs and any requirements they had. Communicated during and after their stay.
Lou is fantastic! In bed weather she braved the elements to take Agnes for a really good walk and introduced her to her husband too. Agnes left a little unsure, but returned super happy with Lou and their time together. She also updated me with pictures and the route, and saw she was 100% in good hands!

Schedule
I’m currently working part-time, mostly based at home with one or two days in the office which I can move to fit around dog care. We also love going for walks at the weekend so your pup will fit in perfectly!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden so your pup can move around freely, and am also happy for them to have free roam of the house. I live with my husband who is another person to play with and ensures it’s very rare they’ll be alone. I offer a discount for fellow dog walkers & boarders :)
A typical day
I have lots of local spots that I frequent depending on the energy levels, behaviour and needs of the dogs so can tailor our walks and time together to whatever suits them best. I also drive so can take your pup further a field if they need lovely long walks and lots of running around (I’m looking at you Collie’s!). At home I have lots of toys to stimulate them throughout the day, as well as some much needed TLC and cuddles. I’m also happy to give them a brush and/or bath after the walks. Your furry friend will be treated like royalty and in very safe hands. It really does brighten my day to have a dog around as we always have such fun together!

- It would be helpful to know what your dogs likes/dislikes are, if they’re on any medication and if you use particular commands so I can use the same. It would also be helpful to know how your dog got on without you before; did they recall with strangers, need a few extra cuddles when they missed you or anything else other dog boarders picked up. Last but not least - their favourite treat!
