1:1 dog boarding
I love dogs and have experience fostering dogs as an adult. I have always been the trusted family member or friend to provide dog walks, drop-in's or overnight sitting when needed and I'm now on Rover! From socialized and confident to shy or reactive, I am experienced with caring for the full range of dog temperaments for dogs of all ages and sizes. As a licensed mental health professional, I am familiar with not only human psychology but dog behavior and strive to foster a safe, positive and loving relationship and environment for your dog. Your dog will receive individualized attention and care with me in a clean, minimal 2 bedroom apartment with access to a secure yard in downtown Oakland. I only watch one dog or household at a time to ensure maximum care. I look forward to getting to know you and your dog!

Lotus took wonderful care of our mini dachshund, Phoebe, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Our pup was kept safe, received plenty of love and exercise, and even had potty training reinforced while we were away. It was clear that Lotus genuinely cared and provided excellent care throughout the stay. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog and we would gladly book again!

Schedule
I currently have a hybrid work schedule and will only accept requests when I am working from home. A typical week day will be as follows: - 7am: morning walk - 7:30am: breakfast - 12pm: bathroom break - 5pm: longer, afternoon walk - 6:30pm: dinner - 9pm: bathroom break

I have access to a secure, fenced yard and can crate your dog as needed. I also live 2 blocks from Snow Park and Lake Merritt.

A typical day
I love to keep dogs stimulated physically and mentally. They will explore new smells around the neighborhood (downtown and Lake Merritt) during the week, and on weekends, potentially the Oakland/Berkeley Redwoods. I will ensure I stay attuned to your dog on walks to ensure they are not only socializing and getting exercise but safe and secure.
