We both work full time but are lucky enough to balance our days in a way that your dog would never be alone for longer than eight hours at a time. I also have the option to pop in during the day for a walk and play if needed, and usually I feel better if I do that. Beth is a secondary school teacher so during school holidays there will be someone home during the days. And as we are mostly homebodies, we tend to spend our weekends at home, or going on adventures we can bring your dog along to.

Safety, trust & environment
Our home is generally speaking dog friendly. It's only a one bedroom with no garden, and the front door leads to a hallway rather than outside making it essentially impossible for your dog to make an escape. Our flat is mostly quiet, despite being on the high street so it's a calm enviroment. We do not care if dogs hop on the sofa or the bed, or if we get muddy paw prints anywhere, we'd rather they're happy and at home, we can always cleaner later.

Information Lotta K. would like to know about your pet
As much as we'd like to be the fun aunts with no rules and all the treats, we'd like to know your rules at home and try to stick to them as much as possible, for example are they allowed on furniture and how many treats (and when) are they allowed. We'd also like to know how many walks and the length of walks they are used to, and how many meals a day they have. And of course we'd like to know all the fun little quirks they have that makes them them. Do they steal your socks (we are used to a sock thief), have bed time zoomies, or need a special song and dance before a meal? Most importantly, we'd like to know if they have any medication or grooming details that are important for the duration of the stay, and any emergency phone numbers and vet details for everyone's peace of mind.
A typical day
We're lucky enough to live between two parks, Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common, and a short distance from Battersea Park, all offering plenty of walking opportunities. Our neighbourhood is also full of dogs and therefor more smells your dog could ever dream of. We also love a good game of fetch, or mid-walk hide and seek, although I feel like our doggy friend Pepi only indulges in it for our benefit and joy... If your dog has any favourite interactive/enrichment toys, we're more than happy to include those in our days!

Dog loving couple in Clapham
Pet care experience
Hello! We are Lotta (me) and Beth (my fiancée), both in our early 30s, living in Clapham/Battersea between the two commons. I am a nanny and Beth is a teacher so we're used to caring for little creatures, though usually the non-fluffy two-legged kind. We both grew up with dogs and cats and have had a pet shaped hole in our life for the past decade living in London. Though we can't make a dog of our own work just yet, we have been lucky enough to have a few little fluff balls in our life in the past two years. I was a foster carer for cats for Battersea and we have together dog sat a 3-year-old maltipoo nap queen Pepi a few times, including over Christmas when we exchaged presents with her. We are quite active in the lives of the guide dogs in training our friend fosters, and I'm lucky enough to spend a lot of my working day with two cats, Livingstone (evil genius) and Flinders (thick in every sense of the word, but we love her for it). Having had these experiences has made us realise we'd like to offer our home to more dogs, maybe that could be yours! We want our home to feel like a home away from home for your dog, full of cuddles and treats and play times, and for you to feel safe and comfortable with the knowledge your dog is loved and cared for, with regular photo updates about our adventures. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Reviews

Beth and Lotta took great care of my Phoebe. Communicated concerns promptly and were attentive in solving them. Picked up a relaxed and happy waggy tail! Thank you so much for putting me at ease when I was miles away 🩷

Lotta and Beth were INCREDIBLE with Roo! They spoiled him from the first moment and kept us updated all weekend with pictures of Roo having a ball in the park. These ladies are super lovely and super communicative and caring. We picked up a very happy boy, thank you Lotta and Beth!

Such great a dog sitter! Lotta looked after my dog for 10 days and the whole time she had great communication / sent loads of photos. my dog seemed really happy the whole time she was there - I would definitely send her back in the future

We love Lotta and Beth! They’re super flexible and helpful when it comes to arranging Hugo’s pick-ups and drop-offs, which is so important to me. Hugo is already a regular and will definitely continue to be one. Thanks, guys!
