While I'm new to Rover and professional dog sitting, dogs have been at the center of my life for years. I currently share my Spring Branch (City Center) home with two English Bulldogs, and I've also been a mommy to two French Mastiffs and a French Bulldog. I know firsthand what it takes to care for brachycephalic and giant breeds well, from managing heat sensitivity and breathing needs, to skin fold care, joint support, and the particular quirks that come with these wonderful (and almost always stubborn!) breeds. I understand their special needs because I've lived them every day, not just read about them. Beyond my own dogs, I'm deeply involved in dog rescue work, which has given me experience with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds: anxious rescues, seniors, dogs recovering from medical issues, and everything in between. That work has taught me patience, careful observation, and how to make every dog feel safe, whether they're a confident, well-adjusted pup or one who needs a little extra reassurance. I'm also passionate about canine nutrition, and I pay close attention to feeding schedules, portion needs, and any dietary sensitivities, so if your dog has a special diet or feeding routine, you can trust it will be followed exactly as instructed. But more than the experience and knowledge, what I bring is genuine love for this work. Interacting with dogs isn't just something I do. It's something that brings me real joy. Your dog won't just be looked after. They'll be cared for by someone who truly delights in their company, treats them like family, and gives them the calm, attentive, and safe environment they deserve.

Lory was amazing with Thorn! He’s a very energetic young German Shepherd mix and can take some patience when adjusting to new people and environments, but Lory handled him incredibly well. She was patient, loving, experienced, and clearly knows dogs. Thorn became very comfortable with her and absolutely loved her. She kept me updated throughout the entire five-day stay with pictures and messages, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. I felt completely comfortable knowing Thorn was safe and well cared for. I would absolutely trust Lory with him again and highly recommend her!
I honestly can’t say enough good things about Lory. ❤️ Brownie is my 15-year-old dachshund and truly my baby, so leaving him with someone is a big deal for me. What stood out most about Lory was how personally she cared for him. She didn’t just watch Brownie, she really got to know him, paid attention to his needs, and gave him the patience, affection, and extra care that an older dog deserves. She was so gentle and loving with him, and I could tell she genuinely cared about how he was feeling and making sure he was comfortable. The little things she did to make him feel safe and cared for meant so much to me. She kept me updated and made sure I never had to worry about how my sweet old man was doing. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Brownie was with someone who truly cared about him and treated him like family. I’m incredibly grateful to Lory for taking such special care of my boy. I would trust her with Brownie again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to everyone!
Lori was absolutely wonderful with my three dogs, Kush, Smokie, and ZaZa! 🐾❤️ She took such great care of them and gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were happy, safe, and loved while I was away. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Ms. Lory! Leaving my dogs with someone else is never easy because Kyro and Brownie are both so different and have very different needs. Kyro, my Belgian Malinois, is full of energy and personality, while Brownie, my sweet 15-year-old senior Dachshund, needs a little more patience, attention, and gentle care. Lory made me feel completely comfortable and kept me updated, which meant so much to me. I could tell that Kyro and Brownie weren't just being watched, they were genuinely cared for and loved. Brownie is my old man and Kyro is my wild child, so finding someone I trust with both of them is a big deal. I’m incredibly grateful to have found someone I feel comfortable leaving my boys with, and I would trust her again without hesitation. Thank you so much!!

Schedule
Pet care is woven into my everyday life, not something I have to carve out extra time for. My two English Bulldogs are on a consistent daily schedule of feeding, yard time, and walks, so caring for another dog fits naturally alongside that routine. I work just 2 miles from home, 9 am to 4 pm, with the flexibility to run home during the day for potty breaks, snacks, and check-ins, so dogs in my care are never left alone for long stretches. Because I'm involved in dog rescue, I'm also used to adjusting my routine for dogs with different needs, whether that's a stricter feeding schedule, medication timing, or just extra patience for a dog who's still settling in.

My fenced yard gets used daily, and I make time for real interaction, not just supervision, since being around dogs is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the day. In My Home (Boarding): Your dog becomes part of the household during their stay. They have access to my fenced yard for supervised play and potty breaks throughout the day, and since I work just 2 miles away with flexibility to come home during the day, no dog is left alone for long stretches. I follow your dog's regular feeding schedule and any dietary needs exactly as instructed, and I make sure there's plenty of one-on-one attention, not just a safe space to stay. My own English Bulldogs are calm and well-socialized which helps new guests settle in quickly. I pay close attention to nutrition and feeding needs, watch for any signs of stress or health concerns, and give dogs with special needs, including brachycephalic breeds, the extra attention they require for things like heat sensitivity and breathing. My background in dog rescue means I'm comfortable adapting to dogs with different temperaments and histories, and above all, I genuinely enjoy the time I spend with them.
