I love to care for animals... horses, dogs, and cats have all been a part of my life. A balance of exercise, fun, and relaxing is what I think is a good recipe to follow, whether you are an animal or a human being! If you'll allow me, I would love to get to know your special "Side-Kick". They are truly a gem in our lives.

Upon first meeting Lorraine, we knew she would be a loving, attentive, easy-going sitter for house & hound. She did not disappoint; she provided Ahi with so much love and attention, it gave us great comfort. It feels good knowing there is someone who treats our dog and home as we do. Lorraine is great with dogs! Whether it is her own dog, Katie (who is adorable & well trained), or dog sitting others, or just meeting them on the trail she loves every dog she meets. In addition she is organized, reliable, and able to handle hiccups that occur in life. I would strongly recommend Lorraine to take care of any puppy or dog in your life.
I’ve known Lorraine for several years and she has always been there when I’ve needed extra help with my two rescue dogs. I trust her implicitly with the safety of my pups. She has taken them on many hikes with her dog and they all get along great! So glad she’s signing up with Rover, perfect when you need a responsible person to take care of your dog.

Safety first. One of my very good friends lost a dog while her pet sitter was caring for the dog. It was certainly an accident, but one avoidable. Leashes at all times when anywhere near cars, and direction from the owner as to whether off-leash is preferred on trails. I will be so very mindful of safety.

I will be very mindful regarding special requests such as no snacking or no people food. Since I worked for a veterinarian for 5 years, I am easily able to administer oral medication. Any other information you'd like to provide is appreciated.
A typical day
A combination of play with our dog Kati, walks, playing fetch if your pet enjoys doing so. Hanging out at the house, with a bit of time for napping or just resting. We have a very large deck where your pet is safely enclosed, yet can look out to the surrounding area.

Availability
I work 30 hours a week, Monday through Friday. My work days are flexible, as I can leave during the day to allow for an outdoor walk around mid-day. Friday, Saturday, Sunday are free. My plan is to retire soon, which will leave more flexibility. I am interested at staying in your home, especially if you have more than one pet.
