Currently, I have a very flexible schedule! I am in the process of attending online college classes getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Studies. These classes make it so I can choose my own hours making it easy for me to work! I am available whenever needed, and your animal will always be my top priority 🐾

In my client’s home, I follow the specific directions they want me to follow in order to keep the animals happy and safe! I make sure to send updates and pictures of the animals I’m watching and I treat them as if they are my own. The animals safety is always my top priority! I check in with the owners if something is unclear or if I have a question regarding their care. I also make sure the animal is always in a safe environment! I constantly am checking to make sure the area is secured for the animals I watch and I look to make sure nothing can hurt them. Depending on the service and requests, I also do frequent check-ins with the animal and stay at the house if that is preferred so the pet can get the best care possible! I always follow up if I have questions or concerns and in case of an emergency, I would take them to the nearest clinic and update the owner as much as I could. I am animal CPR trained as well!

Playing with animals is one of my favorite things that I get to do on a daily basis! Whether it’s playing with dogs, or cats there’s so many fun things you can do with them! I love trying to teach animals tricks but I also love to keep it simple and play fetch with them or take dogs on long walks!

Pet care experience
I have been watching animals for 10 years! I have watched a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, and fish! I have watched animals for as little as a few days or as long as a few months! My responsibilities include light housekeeping, administrating medications, feeding animals, walking animals, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals! My responsibilities vary based on the owners wants and needs as well as the animals wants and needs. It’s important to recognize all animals are different and my responsibilities vary based on the animal I am working with. I also was a kennel assistant for a few months where I learned many valuable skills such as bathing, proper sanitation procedures, running front desk, answering phone calls, and boarding animals while owners were out of town. In high-school I was in a Pre. Vet program for 2 years where I learned how to trim nails, groom animals, and safely work with animals of all different breeds and sizes. During this time, I achieved student of the month 8 executive times. All of these experiences have helped me learn how to work with and care for different animals with different needs. I am able to work with a variety of different animals becuase of my past pet care experiences. There well-being and safety is my top priority and they will be well cared for and treated like they are my own!

Lorna did a wonderful job caring for our pets while we were away. She obviously loves animals and enjoys getting to know their individual personalities and behaviors. She is an excellent communicator. Our dog has separation issues, and Lorna stayed in close contact and helped us problem solve the best way for her to keep our dog comfortable. She had some really good ideas, and after the first day, our dog settled right down and bonded with Lorna. It was very clear that our pets’ comfort is her priority. Our cats were very relaxed and stress free when we got home. We had to go out of town for a family matter, not a pleasure trip, and knowing our pets were in her care allowed us to focus on what we needed to do and not worry about our animals. We will definitely work with Lorna again!
Lorna looked after my 2 boys while I was away for the weekend. She sent updates along with photos and videos to calm my nerves as this was the first time I’ve left them with anyone outside of family. Not only were my boys extremely well taken care of, but so was my home❤️ I most definitely will be using Lorna again in the future!!
It is my pleasure to recommend Lorna as a caring, reliable pet sitter. Lorna has been our dog, cat and fish sitter for the last 10 years. We have needed Lorna’s service often as we have traveled frequently over the years. Lorna has watched our home and pets many weekends but also for numerous 2-3 week-long trips. She has dispensed medicine, following my specific instructions for dosage, timing and how to give the medicine. If Lorna has questions about my instructions, she has texted or called to verify or ask questions. She is organized, dependable and has earned my trust and respect.
