Safety, trust & environment
I provide a calm, caring, and safe home environment for dogs. While I don’t currently own a dog myself, this allows me to give my full attention to any pets staying with me. My home has a secure, fully fenced garden, allowing dogs to enjoy safe outdoor time. I live right next to a park and have access to lots of nearby walking routes, so dogs will receive regular walks, exercise, and mental stimulation suited to their needs. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new, and I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and reassurance throughout their stay.

Information Lorna H. would like to know about your pet
To ensure your dog receives the best possible care, it’s important for me to know details about their routine, personality, and individual needs. This includes feeding times and amounts, walking preferences, any medical conditions, medications, mobility issues (especially for older dogs), and any dietary requirements. It’s also helpful to know how your dog behaves around other dogs and people, what they enjoy, what may cause anxiety, and any comfort items or routines that help them settle. Understanding these details allows me to provide a safe, calm, and familiar environment while they’re in my care.
A typical day
Activities include short, calm walks at a pace that suits them, quiet time in the garden for fresh air and gentle movement, and plenty of rest and companionship indoors. I understand that older dogs often prefer gentler, more relaxed activities. I tailor care to suit their age, energy levels, and comfort.

Pet care experience
I have grown up around dogs and have owned two dogs in the past, giving me a strong understanding of daily dog care, routines, and responsibilities. In addition, I have regularly looked after family and friends’ dogs while they are away, providing feeding, walking, companionship, and home-based care. Through this experience, I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and needs, including those who prefer a calmer, more relaxed environment. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, settled, and well cared for when away from their owners.
Reviews

Lorna dropped in on our greyhound to give him tea, cuddles and toilet. She came across to lovely in messages before that I knew our boy would be fine with her. She was very punctual and gave a full update with some lovely photos that made us laugh. We would 100% trust her again and I’m sure Kylo will look forward to the next time she comes!
