Lifelong Animal Caregiver
Building a relationship on trust is key when it comes to animals and people. I have been caring for pets professionally over a combined 20 years, and I have been responsible for providing loving care for animals in my family since I was old enough—including dogs, cats, bunnies, horses and more! I am an artist and freelancer, so I have a flexible schedule most days between the hours of 10a-9p. I have a reputation for being kind, respectful, and dependable. With all animals my training/handling style uses positive reinforcement and I am typically very calm because I tend to address situations from the animal's point of view while holding the role of a regulated and protective caregiver. I am very respectful of your home and privacy will treat them with the utmost discretion. I will communicate clearly about my coming and going. Each visit will include detailed photos, videos, and a text summary of the visit. My Personal History with Animals: -When it comes to dogs, I have had Poodles of all sizes, Dachshunds, Pugs, Dobermans, and German shepherds. -I currently have two fur babies — my beloved indoor cats, Polka Dot and Gypsum. Since I adopted these sisters in July of 2024, I have loved putting my professional research skills to use to educate myself about how to give felines the best quality of life possible; I am an avid follower of cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy and also Cat School (YouTube), and often love to read books or watch videos about cat behavior, care, and positive reinforcement training techniques in my free time. -My house bunny, Pixel, lived a very happy life for nearly a decade and I learned so much from her! I also had two bunnies who were indoor/outdoor growing up, including one Angora. -In high school and early college, I worked as a groom for a respected New Mexico horse trainer for three years. There, I learned how to gentle and train horses through natural horsemanship methods. It was clients at the barn who first began hiring me for house & pet sitting.

How can I support you? — Full List of Offerings: *Drop-In Visits (30–60 mins; see pricing): During each visit, I will greet your pet according to their comfort level, provide enrichment/activity appropriate for their needs, as well as feedings as scheduled, photos/video, and any other care that we have discussed. *Daytime Care in Your Home: If you are in need of day-time housesitting only (without the overnights), I’d love to help. This will consist of: -Me staying with your pet in YOUR home for a total of 4-6 hours/day between the hours of 10a–8p (or as agreed). Pricing is $103/day (non-holiday). -{*Since Rover does not list this as a service, please send a request with the details and I will get back to your with an adjusted price). *Overnight Housesitting [Currently on hiatus]: A 24-hour time frame that includes an overnight stay of 10-12 hours. *Continuous Care in Your Home: If your pet needs continuous care without the pet sitter coming and going, I'm happy to provide this service at the Hourly Drop-In rate. (*Please note that I have priced my services at the rate I feel comfortable providing care; tipping is fully optional. Thank you for booking!)

Lorinda is so fantastic! After my last sitter moved, I was hesitant about trying anyone new, but within a single visit, Lorinda eased all my anxieties about leaving my baby for a week. She’s thorough, communicative, and genuinely cares and my little girl Pixee 🤍 I couldn’t ask for a better sitter for her, and I could tell from day 1 that Pixee loved her! Very happy that we found Lorinda and will be having her back :)

Schedule
When providing care in your home, I adjust my schedule as able (within a 1-2 hour window, or as agreed) to accommodate your pet's routine. I will be sure to let you know at the time of the booking request if there are any known scheduling conflicts and to follow your instructions with how to adjust the routine. I'd be happy to accommodate your requests based on your pet's needs!
