Pet care experience
Hello and thanks for visiting! I love spending time with animals. I have grown up in a house with cats and dogs and have been a cat and dog parent all of my adult life. Recently I made a commitment to rescue a dog recognizing I had the time to devote to her training and rehabilitation and the experience has been truly transformational. Working with trainers has given me a lot of tips, tools, strategies and confidence to understand dog behaviour and be better responsive to their needs. I have also volunteered to rescue abandoned cats. I am physically active and enjoy walking and/or running with dogs as part of my daily routine. I am also happy to chill with pets in their home environment and play games to give them cognitive stimulation and/or cuddles depending on the goals you identify for our visit. I am committed to keeping your pet safe and happy and to keep you updated as well as I know how important communication is to giving peace of mind.

Lori took care of my cat and dog for the recent weekend. She cares deeply for animals was very good at communication I got lots of updates. My animals can be timid but they really liked Lori and could sense her warming personality.
Lori consistently provided excellent care to my senior cat on countless occasions. She is an absolute animal lover, reliable and professional. She was incredibly attuned to my little man's conditions and changing behaviours, a great communicator and took some of my most cherished pictures of him. I would not have felt comfortable ever going away if I didn't have her as a pet sitter and planned my trips around her availability.

At this time it’s helpful for me to know any communication or behavioural concerns and or triggers, medical or functional concerns, energy level, food/diet restrictions, favorite things and routines.

I am committed to being responsive to your dog’s/cat’s physical and emotional needs to keep them happy and safe. It’s helpful for me to know your pet’s preferences as well as their fears and any triggers or any behavioural concerns. For dogs, I would like to know if they feel comfortable pausing to meet other dogs on walks, or any reactivity and strategies that have worked to help bring calm. I am also happy to continue working on any training routines during our time together.
A typical day
I love to take dogs for a walk in the neigbourhood, especially along the water front. For dogs with higher energy needs we can be running partners as long as it is not too hot. I have a repertoire of games I like to use to keep your pet stimulated and would like to learn their favorite toys and games too. It’s also helpful for me to know your pet’s treat allowance during our time together.
