17 Acres of Doggie Adventures!
🐾 Need a place for your furry friends to hang for the day? Overnight care? Visiting the area and want a safe place to leave your dog for an afternoon of two? Going on vacation? Regular day care while you are at work? Playtime and exercise? Walking and check/ins? I can do that! 💕 I have two 40lb lab mix pups: Ruby, who is almost 3, and Pax is 1.5. They are both very sweet and love other dogs and people! 🐾 We go on at least one long walk in the woods on our property every day- sometimes adventuring to the river for a dip, or out on the local, less-popular hiking trails. We know all the secret spots ; ) 💕 I love having a dog pack around, and love watching them play and run together. I believe in providing plenty of outdoor time for playing, sniffing, exploring, listening to nature, or sitting in the sun- whatever your dog needs to be happy! I will meet them where they are at to ensure they are comfortable in a new environment. Leashes will be used until we are sure it’s fine to take them off. 🐾 We just got an invisible fence- so if your dog is familiar with that, we have 1.5 acre yard of invisible freedom to roam! Trained in basic doggie 101-we usually have basic manners and recall in practice for healthy treats and affection-especially for puppies- and can provide a crate, comfy couch or bed if your pup needs a space to retreat. 💕 My only requirement for care in my home is that your dog must get along with other dogs and cats. I will gate the stairs to keep some separation, so if your dog is “cat curious” but intimidating, they will all have their own space to relax.

I am so thankful that my dog stayed with Lori! We are not from the area but wanted to check out Fryeburg Fair. I messaged Lori in the morning and she got back to me within minutes. I also let her know that my dog can be picky with other dogs and she was able to accommodate to that. She ensured that even if they had to be separated my dog would never be alone in a room. When we picked him up, he was so happy and even had a bone in his mouth!! She explained how well he did with both of her dogs and what precautions she took to make sure all of the dogs were safe. Thank you so much Lori for answering so quickly and watching our Atlas on such short notice!! If anyone is ever in the area I HIGHLY recommend booking with Lori! We know we would go back if we ever stop by in the area again :)

Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! From the start, Lori was super friendly, easy to communicate with, and went out of their way to accommodate our last second plans. Lori was warm, patient, and flexible, which made everything stress-free for us and even updated us with photos! It’s rare to find someone who genuinely connects with our anxious pup but Lori totally did! If we lived 1500 miles closer — we’d use them all the time!
Lori was amazing walking my two fur babies. She also did some training with the younger one. Lori is the Doggie postmaster rain or shine she is there for your fur babies
Lori is an amazing human, animal owner, and compassionate person. I have known Lori for many years and have been consistently impressed with her trustworthiness and great personality. She cares greatly for her own animals, and is always willing to take care of her friends and neighbors pets when needed. She opens her home and heart to all! She is an outdoorsy, adventurous and healthy person. I always feel confident and comfortable leaving my animals in her care :)

🐾 I work from home mostly, and have a flexible schedule. Pet care is perfect for my lifestyle! 🌲 We are outside a ton- gardening, hiking, xc skiing, swimming- adventuring on our property and in the surrounding National Forest. 🐾 I would prefer dogs that are good off-leash and have good social skills- I will always keep your dog on leash if I feel they are not okay otherwise. I only take 3 at a time the most, in-addition to my own pup.

We live on a very private property with an open yard with an invisible fence system- offering plenty of space to run and play. We have a comfy animal-friendly couch and a screened-in porch with a queen-size bed for your pups to nap outside without being “loose”. I have 2 pups who will be happy to keep your pup company! They will be able to go in and out freely in a natural home setting, (as long as they are okay off leash) and your dog will be cared for like our own. If I visit your home, I would typically have my dog with me to play with yours- unless you specify otherwise. Each visit would be an hour of play and affection, outdoor time, feeding, water, etc.

I believe dogs need physical and mental stimulation/ exercise regularly. We usually take a morning walk, then come back for a treat and some down time. Afternoon play (or whenever they are feeling it) is important-possibly another walk! With multiple pets, they are encouraged to play at their own pace. We have lots of toys- balls, stuffies, bones and sticks to occupy time. If a dog needs space, I can facilitate this with crate time or a quiet corner of the house. We have a screened-in porch with a queen bed that most dog friends love to hang out on- listening to the birds and overseeing the yard. If it is hot, we have a secret brook a mile down the road that is a great place to walk to for a cold drink and a swim. Sometimes we will head up the road for a swim in a more luxurious swimming hole.
