I have loved and cared for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I grew up with all kinds of animals in my homes and have had additional experience with birds, fish, chickens, hamsters, mice, snakes, geckos, bunnies, and others over my last 30 years. Though it hasn’t been my full time profession in years, I spent many years managing a boarding facility alongside an animal hospital, which remains to this day my absolute favorite job. I find no greater joy than helping ease the anxiety that the animal babies feel when they are away from the comfort of their own homes. I have successfully trained a number of puppies including large “bully breeds” and I especially enjoy helping rescues find comfort in new homes after questionable upbringings. Above all, my heart pours love and gratitude into animal babies because I believe they deserve the same unconditional love that they give to us humans. I work part time and make my own schedule. I am incredibly flexible and am used to a swing schedule where I can get up early or stay up late in order to accommodate the needs of my clients. I have a multiple acre wooded property. Though it is not entirely fenced in I am skilled at leash walking/training and my property backs up to miles of trails that are part of a wildlife refuge. I currently have a one year old female Beagle/Belgian Malinois mix who is crate trained but also does stay at home alone freely at this age with no incidents. She is incredible with other dogs and people, overall very sweet and friendly. I am willing to crate your pup if that is what you prefer, but am also ok with a free roaming pup.

Lori is absolutely amazing and we are so thankful that we found her. She is everything you look for in a sitter: kind, sweet, flexible, knowledgeable, responsible, communicative. She was absolutely amazing with our puppy Moose. He came home tired and clearly well cared for. She took him on numerous walks and to dog parks and her yard is also big which was great. She sent us so many picture and video updates which we love. She made our little trip much more enjoyable knowing that our baby was in great hands. Highly recommend and will definitely use her services again.
I would highly recommend Lori to be your dog sitter. She watched my French bulldog, Dally. Dally got along great with Rainy, Lori’s dog. Rainy is so sweet and playful. They had so much fun together and her yard is gorgeous with lots of room for the pups to explore and run around. Lori was very nice and a great communicator and sent me cute photo updates. I will definitely contact her again next time I need a puppy sitter.
Lori was amazing and saved the day watching our 9 mo. old lab, Bentley, when we went on a last minute trip. It was our first time away, and we couldn't have felt more comfortable. Lori was so responsive, trustworthy and loving to Bentley. She knew exactly how to keep our high energy pup active and happy, even on rainy days! Bentley was very well taken care of, felt right at home and after two days was great buddies with Lori & Rainy. We can't wait to see them again & I would highly recommend Lori.
Lori was INCREDIBLE and made us feel so comfortable leaving our baby for the weekend. She was so hospitable, loving, and caring with Arlo and comforted him while we were gone. We will definitely be using her services again!
Lori and her sidekick Rainy have taken excellent care of Rosie on several occasions. Rosie always has nonstop fun with Rainy and always comes home happy, healthy, and just a bit on the tired side. I have recommended Lori to several other people who are equally delighted with her services. Highly recommended!

Schedule
I work only on a free-lance basis and do all of my work based around my pet sitting, drop in, and walking schedule. So your animals are my number one priority!

I have added a fence on my wooded property to accommodate pups that need some freedom from a leash to do their ‘business’ 😆 and of course my sweet, friendly, playful pup Rainy is always ready to wrestle, chase, or cuddle her new friends!

A typical day
We will go on long leash walks on and around my property! If your pup likes to swim, in warm weather we can do that in the pond on my property! Also if your dog is a fan of the dog park we can take trips to either Mt Olive Dog Park at Turkeybrook or Central Park Dog Park in Morris Plains. My home is equal distance between both parks which I frequent often and know very well.
